Farseer Helmet > Mystic Hat

God Cape > God Cloak > Lava Cape > Obsidian Cape > Legend Cape

Fury Amulet > Glory Amulet > Power Amulet > Magic Amulet > Unholy Symbol

Ancient Dart > Ancient Magic > Regular Magic > Range > Melee

Torag, Dharok or Guthan Plate > Rune Plate

Torag or Dharok Legs > Rune Legs

Barrow Gloves > Dragon Gloves > Rune Gloves > Mystic Gloves

Infinity Boots > Mystic Boots > Rune Boots

Seer Ring > Ring of Life > Archer Ring > Ring of Recoil

Bolt Racks (KarilÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s X-Bow) > Rune Arrows (Magic shortbow) > None (Crystal Bow)

Zamorak PrayerBook > Guthix PrayerBook > Saradonim PrayerBook

Inventory:

BackPack.jpg

Replacements:

Black DÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Hide > Karil Armor > Red DÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Hide > Blue DÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Hide > Green DÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Hide

KarilÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s X-Bow (With Racks) > Magic Shortbow (With Rune Arrows) > Crystal Bow

If your equipment contains rune plate and legs, you can remove these to add 2 more monkfishes.

Dragon med can be removed for another monkfish.

Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar > Dragon Longsword > Dragon Dagger (p++)

Do not remove prayer potion as you can really need it.

Shovel -> You canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t go very far without it #-o

Monkfishes -> Cheap and almost as good as sharks. Either use monkfishes, swordfishes or lobsters.

How to reach Barrows:

Modern Magic : Teleport Varrock and walk.

Ancient Magic : Teleport Kharyll (Teleports you to Canifis, 66 magic required) and walk.

Player-Owned House : Teleport House and use Kharyll Portal.

*You can use a shortcut after finishing In Search of Myreque.

How to kill brothers :

First, here is a map of each brother's location:

Barrows.jpg

Here is my favorite order :

1-Dharok <-Be sure to have full prayer at beginning.

2-Karil

3-Ahrim

4-Verac

5-Torag

6-Guthan

Dharok:

Dharok.jpg

Set Effect : Strenght increases as hitpoints lower.

This is the most dangerous brother. NEVER RUN OUT OF PRAYER! He can

hit 58 at low health. Simply use your Magic on him until he dies. You can

swap your armour to black dÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢hide because it gives a better magic bonus.

If tunnel, move to Karil.

Karil:

Karil.jpg

Set Effect : Damaging attacks have a chance to reduce target's agility by 20%.

Either use Melee or Magic. Use the rest of your prayer on him. If you

run out before he dies, donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t take prayer potion. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d be a waste. Only

drink Prayer Potion if he has more than a quarter of his full health. If tunnel, move to Ahrim.

Ahrim:

Ahrim.jpg

Set Effect : Damaging attacks have a chance to reduce target's strenght.

Change your armour for your ranging gear. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t pray on him. Range

him until heÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s dead. If tunnel, move to Verac.

Verac:

Verac.jpg

Set Effect : Melee attacks have a chance to ignore target's

defence provided by their armour and the effects of their protection prayers.

Return to your Magic gear. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t pray unless you still have prayer points.

Simply use slayer dart on them until he dies. Watch for your health. He

can hit 15-20. If tunnel, move to Torag.

Torag:

Torag.jpg

Set Effect : Damaging attacks have a chance to reduce target's run energy by 20%.

Stay in your Magic gear. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t pray, really not useful. Simply use slayer

dart on them until he dies. If tunnel, move to Guthan.

Guthan:

Guthan.jpg

Set Effect : Damaging attacks have a chance to heal wearer on a 1:1 hit ratio with the damage inflicted.

Keep your Magic gear. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t pray. Simply use Magic on him until he dies.

If the tunnel is there, enter it. If not, move to the brotherÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s mound in

witch the tunnel is.

Tunnel:

Here is a map of the tunnel (made it myself :D):

BarrowMapComplete2.jpg

Dharok:

Open doors until he appears. If you have a safespot, mage him to death.

If he appears in a room with no safespot, drink your prayer potion and

mage him to death. Try opening doors with safespots on both sides.

Karil:

Obviously, no safespot will work. Open doors until he appears, drink your

potion and melee or mage him to death.

Ahrim:

No safespot works on him neither but it doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even really matter.

Simply range him until he dies and eat when he damages you.

Verac:

Kill him with Magic. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d be good to have a safespot. Watch your health.

Torag:

Mage him with or without safespot.

Guthan:

Mage him with or without safespot. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s still a good idea trying to get a safespot.

Increasing your killcount:

Swap your armour to rune plate and legs (and Dragon Med if you have

it). Kill few monsters (I recommend getting 20)

Getting to the chest:

Easy as a piece of cake. Go to any room with a door that goes to the

chest (even a locked one) and turn your camera so you see the other

doors inside the treasaure room. Right-click them to see witch one is

unlocked, get to it, answer the puzzle, open the chest, search it (be sure

that you have enough space, 6 is enough) and use Lumbridge Home Port.

Watch out for falling rocks, they cancel your teleport. Take Varrock

teleport runes there, teleport Varrock, bank your reward and refill your

inventory at bank and go back to barrows.

Rewards:

Coins: Frequent, around 500-1000 per drop.

Mind Runes: Frequent, around 300 per drop.

Notes :

-I put crystal bow as worse bow to use even if itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s effective. The reason

why I donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t recommed it is that it wastes a lot of money. Only use it if you

can recharge it for a price that makes it cheaper than bolt racks.

-To calculate if your magic bonus is good, add your magic level to it. Try

keeping that amount higher than 60. For example, if you have level 58

magic, try having at least +2 magic bonus. If your magic level is 75, your

magic level can be as low as ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ15.

-All weapons are two handed so you can't wield shields while using them.

-These equipment sets are rather ancient and require regular maintenance so you can use them. Approximately every 15 hours that you use each item in combat it will decay totally (this is regardless of whether you are being hit or not. For example, safe spotting using full Karil's set will still degrade the armour pieces.) You can take them to:

(a) Bob in Lumbridge

(B) Dunstan in Burthorpe

© Tindel in Port Khazard

(d) The Void knight nearest to the Anvil on the Void Knight Outpost

-Barrows armour can be repaired for the following prices:

Barrows Helmets: 60k

Barrows Bodies: 90k

Barrows Legs: 80k

Barrows Weapons: 100k

Total repair cost: 330k

Note that the above prices are for repairing items that are broken. As the items 'decay', their names will change so you can know how soon they need repairing - if the item is fully fixed, it will just be called 'Ahrims staff' for example. It will change to Ahrim's staff 100 when first used, then Ahrim's staff 75, Ahrim's staff 50, Ahrim's staff 25 and Ahrim's staff 0; the number in the brackets is the percentage remaining. You can get your items repaired at any time, instead of having to wait until they are at 0% to get them repaired. The cost is proportionally lower if you do (so if it's only half damaged the repair cost is also halved). The barrow items are only tradeable when they are fully fixed or totally broken.

-If you own a house, you can build an Armour Stand, which allows you to repair barrows armour at a reduced price based on your smithing level. At level 1 there would be hardly any cost reduction, but at level 100 (Level 99 with skill cape or Dwarven Stout) it is a 50% reduction. Repairing your Barrows armour this way will also grant you 25 Smithing XP per item.

Thanks for reading. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d be happy to have your comments, suggestions and rates :D .

Torag Plate is just as good as two others but it's true Verac Skirt gives a prayer bonus. I believe magic hits better on karil than abyssal whip but I'll try it, thanks for the tip.

This is the method I been using for quite some time now, only a few tweaks I like.

You dont need hardly any mage, at all to kill 4 of the brothers. I personally prefer the Helm of Neit over anything else, doesnt really lower mage, prayer bonus, and good for meleeing Ahrim, I'll get to later.

Karil, even potted, I can kill him quicker in mage gear... here, let me post what I wear/bring.

npbft0.jpg

I agree with your pattern, except I find doing Ahrim last a tad better, nothing special, just his lowering defence once in awhile may cause Verac to put a tad more hurt on ya, but nothing special.

As you see, in that set up, that's more than enough to mage Dharok and Karil, trust me.

When doing Verac, Torag, and Guthan, just wear your melee armor. (I'll be replacing Dharok's Legs with Verac's Skirt as soon as I hit one.)

Ahrim, I find even with my 96 mage he can still put a hurt on ya. I just like the extra mage def there. Pot up, usually it's a 4 spec ordeal, might take a few whippings, nothing special. I like the Defender, good for getting tunnel kills and, against the melee brothers, honestly, even -15 mage bonus you still rarely, if ever splash, so the more defense the better, debating switching it for a crystal shield soon.

I dunno if this may help your guide any, but, I still love this method of doing barrows, and I agree, it works great.

You left out wizard boots which i think would go between infinity and mystic.

That ring from the new quest adds +2 magic atk which could go after seer's ring. I don't ever use a ring of life, so for me personally i rank the recoil above the ring of life

I don't understand how poison can hit 12. When Ddp(++) poisons something, the damages starts at 6. I'll try it your way tho. Looks like it can be powerful.

I am pretty sure he means until the poison hits 2 or more times.. meaning 12+ damage.

A nice guide. I haven't tried barrows yet, although I am sure I could do it.

Modern Magic : Teleport Varrock and walk.

Ancient Magic : Teleport Kharyl (Teleports you to Canifis) and walk.

Player-Owned House : Teleport House and use Kharyl Portal.

*You can use a shortcut after finishing In Aid of Myreque.

You can't teleport to Kharyl then use Slayer dart, as slayer dart is not one of the Ancient magic spells.

And Ethiery if your going to use a space for a piece of mage equipment it would be better to use a Mystic top than a Mystic Bottom as the Mystic top adds more to magic att.

I really don't suggest using magic on Karil, waste of runes in my opinion. I find it faster to kill him if I just bring a regular att pot, and melee him with my whip, works quit well. Alright guide I suppose, it needs more explanations maybe, and some more images wouldn't hurt.

You can add me if you want, my chat is almost always on =)

close to what i use. I have ;lkike 20 runs under my belt, and I use a similar method.

I get mystic, farseer, slayer staff, prayer book, lightness boots, god cape, 100 bolt racksbarrows gloves, and ring of life on. In inventory I have teletab, runes to 200 darts, 2 ppots, spade, black d hide top and bottom, x bow, d scimmy, rune plate and legs. Then 16 monkfish. I pray in mage gear on karil and dharok, drink a ppot dose if prayer points are udner 30 after dharok, use remaining prayer on ahrim while ranging, put on rune plate and legs, mage verac, torag, then guthan. Then do tunnels as usual, and have just enough monks to get kc to my normal 16.

72 def

72 str

54 prayer

73 str

71 mage

70 range

I easily use 0-2 doses a trip, 2 only on unlucky trips, and restocked once because of dharok in tunnels and i didn't wanna risk, even thouhg i used no extra supplies.

Good guide. Maybe I'll start maging in melee gear for all brothers, I'll test it, my main concern is how many doses i use, and 1 dose a trip is good enough for me. I doubt I'd need to wear melee armor, even if its veracs, I rarely use more than a dose a trip.

Good guide, similar to what i use, maybe I should try not bringing mage gear, but just melee gear the whole time for extra food space.
