With the prayer glitch STILL going on making it supposedly impossible to get a fire cape now, has anyone been brave enough to knowingly go defeat Jad with a dodgey prayer system?

Yea I would think it would be easier, you can switch prayers and continue attacking without having to right click and attack. Noticed it when i was at dks so it should be easier to get fire cape now.

Heh, Iv'e been to Daggy Kings alot even with the Prayer Glitch, I guess it's kinda exciting getting hit 50's by the prime every now and then :-k

U A E X Pker has done it 3 times since the original prayer glitch was "fixed"

wellu see i herd the 360s using the attack so i turned on mage but it stalled and i got hit a 45 so its a bit harder

Well I tried a few weeks ago, and I reckon I changed prayer on Jad with plenty of time, but got hit - this happened two changes in a row and sadly he owned me

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It seems to lag between when switching prayer on and it actually protecting you from that type of attack.

essentially jagex changed the prayer system so that instead of the protection prayer activating instantly when you hit the button, it lags for a few seconds before turning on. this can be annoying when you would normally just beat jad, but the lag keeps the prayer off and you get hit for a 90 and die.

actually, previously the prayer had not activated (given you protection) until a second after you hit the button, the image was just immediate. The "glitch" was that the image appeared when you were actually protected.

They fixed the glitch like a week ago or something, rofl.

I was waiting for my friend, Evilknight 2 to complete the caves, hopefully with a cape. Sadly he changed prayers when he didnt need to and died :( But before he came out a level 88 came out joyous of his new firey cape. So, meh.. doesn't seem to make much difference.

What most people are thinking about isn't a glitch. I dunno about a glitch, but Jagex fixed the bug where you can turn protection prayer (or whatever prayer) on and off so that you don't waste prayer but get protected from the attacks. They originally made it slow to turn on, turn off, and switch prayers but after realizing that it wasn't working well, they made it so that it's only slow when turning it on. With this, it could still be hard beat Jad for those who turn prayer on or switch late. However if you have beaten Jad before, you probably shouldn't have a problem with it.

well I hope to give it a try later this week, and i've been to barrows a few times today and havent noticed any lag or anything in prayer.

i just went and died a few weeks ago, but i died because i had a laggy connection...... connection loss ftl :cry:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

other than that, i had the healers down, and just needed jad done, but my stupid connection killed me, reloaded outside the caves. =[

should be really easy now. You now automaticly attack again after switching prayers. No more clicking on jad after every attack.

I did it once and don't plan on doing the fight caves again until i get my ranged up. Don't wanna waste 2 hours on it again.

Boy, I sure am glad I got my Fire Cape the Sunday before people started talking about this gliltch, lol.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And before the healers came out, I just put auto-attack on. Then I would just keep attacking after I changed prayers, because the hit comes after the prayer change. However, when the healers come out, it's a little different, since I didn't want to waste any hits on them, I just kept right clicking Jad.

I did it tonight to see if It was possible. It was easier than ever because I don't have to reattack Jad until I need to use Prayer Dosage....Never got hit higher than a 9 from his minions.

I wouldn't attempt it if I were you, I was at the barrows recently and I accidently clicked mage protect instead of melee protect (on verac) and both melee and mage were lit up but mage was still on (i.e. - it's still quite buggy).

It's not the "glitch" where you don't stop attacking when activate/deactivate prayer. (This isn't actually a glitch, Jagex claimed it as an update at forums)

 

 

 

This is the glitch where you click to activate prayer, but it doesn't. It does shows up in prayer book but doesn't shows up above your head aka not protecting you from attack, no matter when you click on it. In other words, you click on prayer, it appears in pray book, doesnt appears on screen, gets you owned. I just hope it doesn't work for other prayers (15% prayers, protect item prayer and others..That'd be painful for pkers that protects whips).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No, I haven't tried. The glitch is only thing that stops me from doing it. ;(
