April 2, 200719 yr The poll system has received a few necessary changes this week. For one, we can ask several questions at any one time. This means we can get more detailed responses instead of trying to get a comprehensive result from just one question! Additionally, we can propose many more answers than we could before, which means we can ask you about your favourite skill, quest or minigame without having to limit your answers to the usual ten. There are other changes - too many to cram into Postie Pete's postbag - but you'll soon find out that we can add images, thank you messages, the possibility of selecting several answer options, and feedback about how we have used your answers. This last one is very important to us - we want you to know just how important the polls are to us, and how much they can affect future content. Which brings us onto the final additions that have arrived with the shiny new poll system: Guaranteed Content polls and Player-submitted poll week. Every so often, we will release a poll that leads directly to content being added to the game; whether that be the reward for an upcoming quest or which minigame deserves an update. This does not mean that other polls will not lead to content changes - far from it - but it does mean that we can guarantee that the winning choice will make its way into the game. Keep your eyes peeled for these Guaranteed Content polls - they will be preceded by a news post, much like this one! Finally, the Player-submitted poll week is your opportunity to ask the entire RuneScape community a question that has been niggling you. So, we would like you to send any poll ideas you have to [email protected] and we will handpick the most interesting of them. These will then be published, once a month, in Player-submitted poll week! Please take the time to vote in the polls. As they always have been, they are an essential means of finding out what you want from us! Veteran Cape Owner (10 year)
April 2, 200719 yr I need to have played for 12 hours. :| Gheesh, my account is over 2 years old. And you won't get a 1200 skill total in under 12 hours of playing. Anyway, I guess that those 12 hours start after the release of the poll... :S Retired.
April 2, 200719 yr Farming got the 2nd lowest in favourite skills, which is apparently not surprising. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
April 2, 200719 yr Farming got the 2nd lowest in favourite skills, which is apparently not surprising. ROFL which is the favorite skill I voted for. I'm surprised it wasn't the lowest. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
April 2, 200719 yr a new skill :-k if its anything like hunter then i don't really think its nessesary to realease it, maybe they're doing it because of 9 or so people who are maxed out now :-k hmm im not sure about a new skill Ex-Wilderness GuardianEx-Solace Retired from F2P clans indefinitely
April 2, 200719 yr Author The new skill is ENGINEER! j/k I think it's just they mean they're improving some existing skill right now Veteran Cape Owner (10 year)
April 2, 200719 yr What surprises me, is that Hunter is quite a favourite skill to train, but very few people want to see it updated, while the skillcape is at 71... Retired.
April 2, 200719 yr I note that woodcutting is no.2 on the desired update list- what can you add? Chainsaws? I mean, there's not much more to it than what's already there, in my opinion.
April 2, 200719 yr I voted for Firemaking as both...I thinjk that Firemaking is just so enjoyable.. when you have steel barsTHE GREAT RACE TO 99 FM!
April 2, 200719 yr I think this is a pretty good addition. I've always thought the polls we're a little simple. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
April 2, 200719 yr I'm one of the few who voted for Farming as my favorite skill to train. It's easy, profitable, you don't need to click repeatedly, and there's something new to plant every two levels or so. As for skills that need an update... Firemaking more so than any other, in my opinion. The only real use is for quests and Shades of Mort'ton, and a skill should be more versatile than that. There simply isn't enough to do. I'm not sure what could be added, to be honest (and I think that Jagex has been doing an admirable job of making the skill somewhat relevant with the Balloon quest and others), but there's got to be something.
April 2, 200719 yr I found it so hard to choose lol. "whats your favourite skill to train?" umm they are all boring.. so I just picked slayer. Quit RuneScape :)
April 2, 200719 yr What surprises me, is that Hunter is quite a favourite skill to train, but very few people want to see it updated, while the skillcape is at 71... The skillcape is at 99 it's the just the highest lvl thing you can do is 71 . I don't really care yet cause I'm only lvl 20 hunter. And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.
April 2, 200719 yr I voted for the update - Runecrafting, maybe jagex can get the message to... FIX THE DARN SKILL THEY RELISED THREE FREAKING YEARS AGO!!! I mean how would you like it if you couldn't mine rune, cut mages or fish sharks??? Solo GWD'er Drops: Bandos Hilt x 1/ boots x 1 / Steam staff x 1 / Shards x 9 99 Str/ 99 Att/ 99 HP (More to come...)
April 2, 200719 yr I note that woodcutting is no.2 on the desired update list- what can you add? Chainsaws? I mean, there's not much more to it than what's already there, in my opinion. Yum. I voted slayer for fav skill, and Firemaking for improvement. Jagex are going to look at peoples fav skills as the ones that don't need updates. I hope Jagex don't release that new skill too soon, I'm still getting to grips with Hunter. :? Quit RS to play real games. :P Bye TIF, miss you.
April 2, 200719 yr I think the new poll system is awesome, alot better than the old one. Quest Cape - 10/18/2006
April 2, 200719 yr I voted for Slayer as most enjoyable to train, and Hunter as the skill to update. I was surprised to see how few people thought that it didn't need to be updated as much as other skills (runecrafting aside). They do seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on skills with these last few poles, so I wouldn't be surprised if they released a new one in the near future.
