Comon, that doesn't hurt that much. Then again... I have done a lot of ah... surgery on myself over the years... and with all my injuries.. taking out a toenail is pretty trivial on the pain scale.

I think part of it was not expecting it. Of course, he just lifted off the skin (which where was a lot of) over the nail, and start twisted it upwards, pausing for several seconds to show my mom.

2. While deployed to Iraq, I got a very bad case of heat rash, once again covering my chest and back (basically, the area that was covered by my bulletproof vest). Due to poor sanitary conditions and wearing my vest in the sun and 130+ degree heat for at least 12 hours a day, it was impossible to control the rash and my skin became very red, hard and swollen. To compound matters, the well our showers used was going dry and our shower water was very hard salt water (to the point where soap would not lather). Bathing felt like I was showering in sulferic acid.

Damn, that sucks. Troops need better care. I heard Bush is giving money for better conditions in hospitals.

...And?

Since when did we start praising people for what they're supposed to do?

This was the worst pain I have ever felt...

I'm sure many of you have already read it, but yeah. :(

Oh man yeah, that was gooey.

Owned though. Well and truly! :P

And I got a pretty nasty battle scar to show for it. :P

Meh. Most of the worst things that happened where when I was little. Broken wrist, couldn't talk so I went a week without getting it checked, slamming my fingernail in a door and having the doctor rip it off with a hook thing, tooth pulled and the anasthetic didn't work.

On a vacation with my youth group we went to San Antonio and floated down some river for a few hours. Oddly, my friends and I who put on the sunblock got burned, while the kids who didn't put any on were fine.

Just a few weeks ago I got a sinus migraine. It was right in front of my right eye and it started before lunch at school. I was in my 5th period class and I couldn't pay any attention to the teacher. I just kept my hand over my right eye. After 5th, the pain went away and my friends saw my eye. They said it was really red so I looked in a mirror and saw that it looked like my eye was bleeding. Anyway, I went on until later in the afternoon. That's when the pain came back but 20x worse. I was biting my tongue and digging my fingernails into my side to distract me from the pain in my eye. It really felt like someone was scooping my eye out of my socket with a rusty spoon. After that day, I now keep Benadryl for Sinus Relief in my backpack.

Another time I was running outside of my house and I slammed my right knee into the edge of a brick wall that sticks out a few inches in between our garage doors. It hurt about as bad as my sinus headache but the pain didn't last long.

I forgot about those. I get those sometimes. I also get things like them in my calves but they last longer and hurt worse. I was sleeping one night and this pain started up in my left calf. It woke me up and it just got worse. I was on the verge of yelling when it finally subsided. The next time it happened, I was at my friends house and this pain just started up in my right calf. I ended up on the floor it hurt so bad. I knocked over two cans of soda from writhing in pain.

The Shingles. I got it last summer, and for 2 weeks straight it felt like my brain was on FIRE. I've still got like 200 capsules of vicodin leftover, the docs were really generous about keeping my pain down. Oh yeah, it makes you look like an ugly, warty trollwitchbeast on top of the pain.

Snapping my achilles tendon was nasty. It's true what they say, you can hear this 'pop' or some bang, like a gunshot. And I turned around, there was no-one anywhere near me, and the next step I took on the that foot I literally crumbled to the ground. Then came the agony.

Snapping my fibula and tibula comes next. I'd say that would have hurt more, but I kept coming and going from consciousness down to the pain.

Fun times, really!

They say snaping the achillies tendon is about the most pain you can experiance without blacking out (going uncouncious)

When I had 2 brackets added to my braces, my started swelling. By the time I had them removed (iI think 4 days later) the brakets were partily inside my gum (about the back third)

Before I disscovered my high arch problem I had a particularly painful mucel spasem in the back of both legs and the botom of both feet, it felt like red hot irond had been placed inside both legs. I wasent able to walk for minutes, it was 30 or 40 before I could do more than a weak limp (try limpign with both legs, really tricky).

The absolute worst thing I have gone through is the removal of a central pick line (Means really big IV, entered in my right elbow, and went almost to my heart). The thing was a good 50 centimetres long. I had been in over 3 weeks (I was recently in the hospital for 5 weeks). About halfway out my vein tightend. It is the worst feeling, beyond imagination, having you vein do something like an accordian where it bunches up and stretches. I wasent bending my arm more than 10 degres for a day, and aftere removal I just went backed to bed and rocked back and forth for a few minutes, it was just horrible, undescribably horrible.

Oh come on. I fixed my ingrown nail myself, after enduring two weeks of swelling. Just got in a steamy shower for a few minutes, turned on a bright light, grit my teeth and started working that thing with my fingers and my thumb nail. That was teeth gritting and took a good 7 minutes, but after a few days the pain was gone and it was worth it :D.

Probably the worst pain I've ever felt in my life was this thing that I have chronically, and the first time I got it was the worst because I didn't know how to deal with it! From what my dad told me it's a buildup of lactic acid in the muscles that suddenly gets released for no apparent reason. It's like a charley horse, but worse. I got one just lying on the sofa watching a movie, felt like my calf was gonna pop out of my leg! I started crying my [wagon] off, and apparently the way you get rid of these things is to bend your foot back and forth since it's connected to the ligaments and muscles and such inside your calf.

Now I get them about once a month when I'm lying in bed, and once I feel one I just pounce it so that it doesn't hurt. But mang, it's terrible if you don't get to it... It feels like the muscle is flexing, then flexing harder, then like it's just gonna come clean off the bone... yikes, hurts just to think about it.

I guess my most painful experience was when I rode my bike down a pile of asphalt... I fell off and slid down for about 50 feet... My entire left side was cut up very badly... By the time I got home, I could barely stand... I went back to the same place approximately 1 year later and did the same thing, but without falling.

well number 1 would be slamming my finger in a car door. it wasnt all that hard, so after a little warm water and cursing i was fine.

number 2 would be getting poked with needles. I dont get hurt much.

as far as that vikadin goes though, I remember my cousin went to the dentist and got 1 tooth pulled, and for that recived 90 pills of vikidin. oh, and the dentist forgot to proscribe antibiotics, so she got a nasty infection.
