Worst pain you've ever experienced..

Having a rock hard hockey ball hit me in the cheek bone, which was lucky out of all the places on my face. Then a while later having one hit me in the chin. Then a few months later smashed in the jaw by another hockey ball. Now THAT hurt. And being whacked in the head by a hockey stick. I actually had a concussion after that. Hockey is pain.

Oh and this wasn't really painful but I think it's pretty funny lol. When I was around 3 or 4 years old I wanted to see what it felt like falling on the ground without trying to prevent yourself from doing so. I just let my self fall like a falling tree and hit my chin on the ground. It didn't really hurt at all. I've never had the courage to do it since. =D>

EDIT: I almost forgot about this, also hit it the knee during hockey as well and almost broke my leg.

Thanks Ronnii :D

Getting a golden staff (sp?) infection removed off the back of my heel with no anosthetic... It hurt like hell, was just a scab on the back off my foot and he ripped it off with a scalpel, definantly the most painful thing I've ever experienced

It turned out just to be infected exma and an ointment would have easily cleared it up <.<

Second most painful was getting speared by one of my friends and my head hitting the edge of the table, wasn't really painful until I touched it and saw the blood over my hands... Then came the headaches :-#

When I had a wound in my knee, I could almost see my bone :D .

(TBH, I didn't feel anything, my nerves(or whatever it is you feel with) were dead.)

When I actually felt something:

I once had a big gash in my forehead. But it looked worse than it was because of all the blood.

Don't really know...

but one time I was leaning down to take off my shoes, when *WHAM* something hit me in the face. It did hurt, but not a lot. So I went upstairs (this was in school) the girl who (apparantly) did it by acciddent was like 'oh god sorry'. And then everyone was just staring at me.

I'm like what's going on? Nothing hurt. Then I put my hand to my face, and it came back covered in blood. I looked in a nearby mirror. Blood was dripping down my face. I'm like 'Uhhh... Some help here please?'

But it never hurt, so it was cool lol.

My appendix EXPLODED 2 years ago. Now tell me, do you think that was painful? hells yes.

You're pretty lucky to have survived that, you know?

Yea, that's what I thought. Isn't that suposed to be leathal?

Yea.. the survival rate for having your appendix burst is almost non-existant..

Due to neuropathy caused by diabetes, my dad survived 4 months with a ruptured appendix. Thought he had a case of stomach flu when it happened and finally went to the doctor 4 months later when he started passing air when he urinated and had blood in his stools. The doctors ended up doing an exploratory when they couldnt figure out what was wrong with him. Long story short he ended up losing half of his colon and part of his small intestine and had to have some other reconstructive work done on his renal system. Got very lucky, really. His doctors said most people go into septic shock and dont survive days, much less months. The neuropathy is what saved him. Havong lost much of his feeling, his brain didnt even realize it was supposed to go into shock.

Very lucky indeed.

Septicimia usually sets in after a matter of days after the appendix reptures. And if you do not die from that you usually end up with massive organ complications.

I think it is spelled staph and is short for something too long for me to know the full spelling.

These sports-related injuries reminded me of another time I got hurt... Not nearly as bad as it sounds though. Me and my sister were playing baseball (sort of, I was pitching she was hitting) and she got me in the face with the ball... She can hit hard, too... And another time, we were watching some 2-pitch games at the local baseball diamonds and a guy hit it foul high into the air, and it came down and cracked me in the face...

I got stabbed just 2 inches under my right nipple. that's probably the worst pain you don't really expect it to be so bad but just feeling it go thru the skin/scrape along your rib bones is pretty bad. Nothing important was hit tho so i guess it didn't hurt as bad as it coulda.(it was during a stupid [wagon] fight btw, there was like 8 of us and he was takin it all serious...)

Was indoor climbing a few months ago, I was climbing almost horizontally (sp?). I missed this tiny handle and I fell down. Don't worry, I was on ropes :D but I swung back 5meter hitting my head against a pole and passing out in mid-air. When I woke up my holy back was bruised and I had migrain for atleast a week.

Either falling down a flight of stone stairs face first to get 8 stitches, or getting hit point blank in the knee by a 50mph slapshot in hockey. No padding.

The worst I saw was at golf camp. This 7 year old girl stood beside (to the left) of where someone was driving off the tee with a driver in golf. When he swung, he managed to actually turn 90 degrees to the left, drove the ball, and hit the girl point blank in the stomach. That thing was going at an insane speed.

probaly the day i was running around a parking lot with some friends, and i have no idea what happened or why but i smashed head first into a car, yes a parked car, get over it. and im just on the floor screaming my lungs off, my god it hurt so freaking much, blood was every where, i had to get like 20 stiches right across my forehead. found out later that i had hit the cornor of the door, why it was so painful, doc said i was lucky not to split my skull

or when i was alseep on bus waiting to get to cross coutry meet when this girl comes up, and kicks me right in the balls and tells me to wake up, i was seriously about to kill her

I broke my arm in a bike crash, also smashed up my face a bit and cut my wrist. The next day I was booked in for a mountain biking course which I attended on my buckled bike the broken arm hadn't been noticed by either of my ex-radiographer parents. The course contained a 14 mile ride up and down hills (I couldn't sqeeze my left hand and therefore was limited to my front break). That was probally the worst pain over a period of time and combined with physical exhaustion and emotion stress (I was crying for the last several miles) that was the worst.

Honourable mentions:

- Grabbing hold of a carrot fresh out of boiling water. I burned the finger tips of every finger of my left hand.

- Being knocked out by my sensei as he applied the lung 15 nerve point in my neck in a head-lock. It took me about 5 seconds to black-out.

- Standing on a broken bottle. I noticed a [puncture]ling sensation in my foot and I picked it up, thinking I had stood on a sharp pinecone. I saw it was a bottle and I asked my uncle who was walking next to me to pull it out. He did and then the pain kicked it. It had pierced the very soft sole of my foot, only about half a centimeter deep but walking was painful for about two weeks.

Once I was accelarating with my back. When I went about as fast as i could, suddenly the chain broke. I lost control of my bike and fell, and kept sliding for about another meter. I had a large wound on my elbow. Didn't hurt immediatly, but when I was home, it REALLY started acting up.

My friends thought it was going to be much worse though, must've been quite a spectacular fall :XD:

Dropping a hatchet on my toe, didn't stop bleeding/throbbing for days. Hurt so bad.

I have also dislocated my knee a half dozen times or so. Except it wasn't completely popped out and it tore/scratched my ligaments sometimes making it so I couldn't walk for a month. Oh yea and my parents never took me to the hospital. They thought I was milking it. Basically it took me 10 minutes to crawl up and down the stairs everyday. "Mom can you take me to the hospital?", "no you will be fine", "ok"
