how do you kill the tree spirit, like with recoils or what?

You want to kill the tree spirit using Rings of Recoil?

My friends a skiller so he wants to finish the quest and stay level 3 so im wondering how he would kill the tree spirit without gaining combat-

You got me on that one, does anyone know how to kill something without gaining combat?

I remember doing the quest. Just have another person attack the tree spirit and then you yourself go chop the tree. I had just gotten there and a ranger was attacking the spirit. I go up to the tree to get a new spirit, but I ended up getting some wood. Of course I had died earlier to the tree spirit if that means anything...

 

 

 

So basically have someone else attack the tree spirit and then you yourself go chop the wood.

Doesnt work :x he says you must defeat him before touching the tree.

youd need like 2 or 3 freinds with full inentorys of sharks to give to him and he could use rings of recoil he might die alot before he does it because it might hit higher than his mav hps

Maybe you'll ring of recoil and someone to keep casting vengeance on you and you need ALOT of food and a lot of support from your friends

Have an invent full of recoils and food, and friends with tuna/salmon, then just use safe spot to trade.

Recoils, alot of food, Vengeance and lunar healing.

 

 

 

ALso nthere must be a way other than d baxe special to lower ur defence so vengeance and recoils are better.

theres a safespot by the tree, all you need is magic spells(what ever you can do) but keep the spell in RUNE form no staffs

Problem with that is the skiller will lose its level 3 combat.

 

 

 

I don't think it could work with ring of recoils. The tree spirit can hit 10s and you could die. There's also the time limit of which you need to kill the tree spirit in, before it disappears. If you keep dying you won't have enough time to kill it.

 

 

 

I helped a friend do it at level 3 but he was using magic and range. Even then he could barely do it.

I'm pretty sure Zzzamorak has done it, but I'm not sure how. Recoils- or any other form of physical combat- would not work, seeing as the Spirit's max hit is 10+. You could calculate how many levels you could gain in Mage and Range before you get a combat level.. but I don't think that would be enough.

 

 

 

All I can say is experiment. You could try using recoils and praying that you don't get hit above a 9. You could also get an iron dagger(s) and attack it until it's poisoned. That's how I ended up beating some monsters on my Prayer/Skill pure without gaining levels. Isn't there also the Karambwan(sp?) poison for spears that hits 9s or something? You could try that on an iron spear...
