Love that you recorded eating 1000 kebabs

If my memory serves me right there also a kebab store in kelderam (darwfen city)

Maybe include that shop too.

Right you are, and btw its spelt Dwarven i believe.

Wow alot of replies overnight :D

Ill do my best to keep up with it.

you didnt make it too clear in your guide, but id reccomend that you only use kebabs for training on monsters that dont hit too high. never kill high lvl quest monsters with such a risky food!

When training with kebabs, always be sure to bring 1 or 2 normal foods. It might cost you a couple gp, but it's worth it when you get down in hp.

Maybe I should emphasise this more, but you should always eat when you fall below 30HP, because the place I assume you will be using kebabs for, the stronghold of security, you will propably go AFK for most of the times, so keeping your HP above 30 is important. I should emphasise on that in my guide. Anyway, taking normal food is not useful.

Nice guide. You should put up the little statements that appear when you eat the kebab like: "You eat a kebab. You feel ill." or whatever it says in the chat box.

Ill add that! :D

Great guide, when i run out of lobsters i shall go stock up on a thousand or so kebabs One thing though, the str/max hit table are you sure that's correct? I've been hitting 19's with str ammy + scimmy since 90 str I think. I had the impression it was 90 str for 19's 96 for 20's and i don't know from then on (This is without a pot) You also said this I believe in your goals & achievements thread.

You must add +3 to your strenght when training on strenght style (aggresive)

Edit: Taken from runehq (Information on kebab)

Normally heals 10% of HP when eaten. Occasionally it will taste "dodgy" and you'll lose 5% of your health. On rare occasions you'll get a really good kebab, which gains you 20% of your health back. Whether it hurts you or heals you determines the Stat Gain/Loss.

If you work out 20% of 95 + hp it works out to be around 19

So i'm guessing an amazing kebab would be 30% of your health back, but then that dosen't seem quite right because even if you had 99 hp you'd only get 29.7 (Maybe it rounds up to 30?) Or maybe these percentages are not right at all

Also taken from rune hq are the effects:

It can either heal you, or hurt you (chance).

+2 Attack, + 3 Strength, +2 Defence OR -3 Attack, -3 Strength, - 3 Defence.

I've never eaten enough to know the accuracy of the stated effects so these could be wrong.

Runehq is wrong, the correlation between HP level and kebab healing is not right-proportional (rechtevenredig :? ) I don't know how much kebabs heal below 85 HP, I can only make a rough estimate.

I would like if people below 85 HP would test the amount of healing a normal, good and amazing kebabs then I could include that in my guide :D

Also tip.it has a page somewhere which tells you that the chance to get a very bad kebab hurting you for 4 hp and lowering your stats is approximately 1/32 and it also says that the damage the kebab deals cannot be fatal, it states that if you are below 2 hp it will not damage you (Why 2 hp I don't know? when it deals 4 damage ) Maybe something to try out if you had enough patience/time

At any HP level, a very bad kebab hurts you for 4 HP and damages your melee stats for -3,Im not 100% sure, but almost certain that a kebab can kill you if your HP is to low, I could eat some kebab on a lvl 3 to try it out in the future but I think it will kill you.

Also i've hit several 20's in the last hour at 96 str, and i even hit a 20 just now at 95 str didn't think that was possible.

Training strenght adds +3 to your strenght, so that means you fall in the 98+ category which let you hit 20s. I myself, also hit my first natural 20s at 95 strenght. Training a certain melee stat gives +3 in that, also on lvl 3's, trainign controlled gives you +1 in all melee stats. It's just like in runescape 1. Anyway, Ill add this to my guide.

dont think they can heal that many got to test it meself later...

They will! I have eaten almost 20.000 kebabs so Im absolutely sure. You need to have 85+ HP though for the highest healing.

If my memory serves me right there also a kebab store in kelderam (darwfen city)

Maybe include that shop too.

This guide is mainly for F2P, but if there is a member store that is faster, Ill happily include it in my guide, please tell me about this shop. Is it closer to bank? Can you buy multiple kebabs? Because if it is slower then buying at karim's I have no reason to include it in my guide.

Thanks for all your questions, replies and comments so I can improve my guide. :D

Im glad you all like this guide and Im enjoying all the positive reactions.

Thanks :D

And for runemining I think swordfish is best, because you almost never have to eat you can afford to take the best of the best.

I could add a wilderness section to my guide, but due to its unreliable nature it is not good food for wilderness. However, I can't deny that I use kebabs sometime :P

Lol, this guide has more info about str bonuses etc than kebabs itself :P

It's info how to eat kebabs, that you don't have to eat when you have high HP for example it's more obvious but this is not so I wanted to point it out... and what is a guide without application

acrotis: Thanks for the info, Ill write it down.

piman: You dont even have to be that poor, you can buy 1100 kebab per hour, they heal 11 HP compared to the 12 HP of lobs, thats 92%, lobs cost 220 each, so 92%*220*1100=222k, if your income is higher you might as well buy lobs.

Thanks for other compliments :D

I dunno if im correct or not, but I tried this method, but only gained 6hp, not 9hp back on a normal kebab. Maybe the hp gained on a normal kebab is related to the amount of HP you have? I only have 54 hp so maybe it heals 10% rounded to the next whole number?

The amount kebabs heal depend on your HP, with 85+ HP kebabs heal 9.

With 10 HP only 3. (so it is not 10%)

I dont know about spice kebabs, Im talking about the f2p ones, could you tell me how much they heal and how expensive etc?

Sorry, have you actually ever died from a Kebab? Or anybody else?

If no here's a quote from Andrew gower the day they were released (third week of Runescape) :

-Kebab shop: Eating kebabs has a random effect. They're normally good, but

rumour has it that a few of them are a bit dodgy. They'll never kill you though

I hope this helps you improve your guide :)

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

Hm I never seen somebody die with kebab and never dared to try it myself, but you might be right.

Though it would seem unlikely you'll stay at 1HP, if Andrew Gower, maker of the game said it will propably be true, Ill try it someday, but for the meantime I advice not to try your luck with full rune on.
