Who ever the hell reported this thread is a jerk(and more..). :evil: lol i did, its not a general p2p type of thing only, im sure the free worlders may have given away stuff to... wow leaving out thousands of people who play this game makes you a real jerk acting like they arent real people. you really need to learn from the people in the 60s about segregation they stopped that long ago... oh btw, whether im generous or not does not seem worthy enough of me to post about what i gave away did this or that IRL or RS style. i mean really, im not going to be credited for being the best person ever because of it and i know what i did was nice and all that junk. just seems to defeat the generosity to brag about it. thats just me, thats why im not posting feel free to carry on with this topic. agreed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
berbatovsky Posted May 6, 2007 Share Posted May 6, 2007 To the few killjoys bashing people for celebrating their generosity: there are people in real life called philanthropists (sp maybe) they give away money/ create charitable funds/organisations, they get plenty of media recognition(which they seek) and probably feel (rightly) that they are the dogs bollocks, would you knock these people? Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so. I don't think generous just means how much gp or items... I could give 10k gp to a person with no money, and they'd be much happier than a merchant, who already has millions. Also, I would think that someone who is stuck on a quest would want help with the quest more than 10k gp. Maybe it's like that "teach a man to fish/give him a fish" proverb. ^that's still really generous, but, I don't think you can measure it like that (does it even need to be measured?)... If you are quitting, you are most likely not giving it away to be nice, but rather to try to keep yourself away. In giving it to a friend, you are being generous, yes, but maybe not entirely for their benefit. I'm not trying to take away from how generous it was, I'm just pointing that out.
