The only legal way is to go from the world select screen or the little world switching button at the login screen.

There's also a few browser-based worldswitchers now.

No, I really don't play anymore.

This is against Jagex Rule 7:

What type of third party software is NOT allowed?

This includes, but is not limited to the following third party software:

* Software that attempts to communicate directly with the RuneScape game worlds.

* Software that monitors, modifies or decrypts the communications between the RuneScape applet and the RuneScape worlds.

* Software that generates input to the RuneScape applet. This includes software that automatically moves the mouse pointer or generates mouse clicks or key presses.

* Modified or replacement versions of the RuneScape applet. Reverse engineering the RuneScape applet is strictly prohibited. Using a modified version of the RuneScape applet is not permitted for any reason.

notice how i italicized (sp?) third party software. notepad comes with your computer so i think it's legal

Rofl it isn't communitating with the worlds. :XD:

It's only a saved html file, that leads you to a world. Jagex hosts the same file, only difference is you saved it and runned from yuor computer.

No, I really don't play anymore.

yeah, creating your own html file and running it is within a loophole.

as even through the world switch page, your accesign it through a browser, using a html page, its through a browser still.

Well I 'spose it's not really breaking the rules but I don't think Jagex would like you use Notepad to make your own World 2 HTML.

no spaces, 5-2's. its my tanker, kinda quitted main :P

It must not bypass the normal navigation of our website for users wishing to reach the game worlds. The software should initially only point at the front page of http://www.runescape.com, and should require the user to navigate through the website normally to reach the game worlds. The software must not contain or acquire direct links to our "Select a world" page, or to our game world pages, or to the RuneScape applet.

That HTML thing probably isn't legal

Eliteswitch...sounds like a third party software to me :-k

We access Runescape through a browser so maybe Internet Explorer is illegal. But we need windows to run that........

OMG WINDOWS IS ILLEGAL. WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO!

The world switchers are pushing it but your own little html file is fine as far as anyone is concerned.

"Your about as usefull as a poopy flavored lollipop"

If u look in the AOW player owned guide some dude gots all the html links (138 worlds)

and he wrote in the jagex asked if its okay they said its fine, he even posted the msg on there so ppl could know it was legit.

so if your planning on saving the html on notepad its perfectly legal

dragonmranger,Tired%20Souls.gif

like i said. I belive his world links are outdated though.

it's easy enough to fix. just go about the process he discribes and update the notepad with the new and improved one.
