Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

No thanks.

Just another day illegal aliens will find the will to clog our streets with protest signs written in Spanish so thick that most people forget the irony of it.

yes? and what about stupid americans that are just a disgusting bunch of racists that flame mexicans to death and shoot them up in the border? americans who hate that [developmentally delayed] GW Bush, but still voted all for him, knowing that he would only concentrate on "war against terrorism", AKA "conquering all the oil deposits in middle east"?

Yes, you hate mexicans, but you still go to mexico on holiday, you hire them in your companies, you buy mexican products and more.

SO SHUT UP AMERICANS BECAUSE YOU ARE NO-ONE TO CRRITICISE MEXICANS

We shoot them at the border not to kill them, but to slow them down.

I would love to see that argument used as a defence in a murder trial. "Honestly officer it was a mistake! I was trying to slow him down, not blast him in the head."

Anyway, people who complain about Mexicans who go to America for life should ask the Native Americans what they think about it? A nation of immigrants who whine about immigration, it's ironic.

If immigrants were allowed to go to nations (I mean any nation) & work legally then there would be no issue here - by clamping down on the problem you onlymake it worse. It's like leaving out food in order to catch a mouse, all you do is attract more mice (yet another of my terrible analogies).

Anyway this topic isn't about Mexican-US immigration, it's about cinco de mayo (aka the day of the De La Hoya vs. Mayweather fight :D )

Ignore Hellzbellz. He obviously didn't know that they other guy was full of crap and didn't know they we DON'T shoot illegals coming into the country unless we have a reason to, i.e. they're trying to harm us or la-de-da. We chase them down with friggin' helicopters and on foot just to catch and deport them...They should consider themselves LUCKY that we're being that nice about it. A bullet to the head is a lot less expensive.

And if anyone quotes the recent shooting incident at the border as "proof", kindly stick your head in a meat grinder. The immigration officers shot the offenders for what they said was a good reason. They're currently in prison because apparently, someone higher up in the chain found otherwise. And maybe they did shoot them for no good reason (I'd find that quite odd...) but that still doesn't reflect America's stance on immigration. It isn't "Coming to America? Wear a vest." It's more like "Coming to America? Don't get caught. If you make it that far and we don't deport you, you're free to live off our benefits that even our own citizens can't usually get!"

Screw illegals and their stupid "This is OUR country!" movement. It's been ours for a good long while now, and you can't kick and scream now just because we're talking about getting you the hell out because you're screwing stuff up. Go ahead, open the borders tomorrow. Watch America crash and burn. Yes, you do jobs that are menial and pathetic, that doesn't mean you own this country. I'm happy to have anyone come in here, work, pay taxes, etc etc, but most of them huddle 18 families in 1 house and get welfare. Anyone who doesn't believe me is welcome to coe over to my house and look next door.

You don't have to be white to be racist, Captian pro-Mexico. ;)

I'll be having a party with my Spanish class tomorrow.

Though it's been a while since I heard the reason for Cinco de Mayo. I want to say it's a sort of independence day, but I need to go look that up.

I had no idea what this was until today.

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo.

thats a common mistake. A lot of people (even hispanic people) think that. It was actually the battle of puebla that mexico won against the French . It's supposed to celebrate their bravery in that battle and be patriotic.

They steal money from Americans! That is bull. Welfare system sucks.

Stealing from hard working Americans is ok? I don't think so. :|

It's not like the Mexicans loaf around all day and get paid. They work harder then most American ever has to, and gets paid a bunch less.

In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers.

No they don't. They just do the really crappy jobs.

We could fend for ourselves before they came here easily.
