Not Really. I much rather reply to posts I really like rather than trying to spam a post I'm not interested in. That way my posts are worthwhile.

If I have something to say I say it. Posts just add up that way :wink:

bein a media board fan, selling sigs to some1 requires a reputation, u g2 know how to trsut and who not too, post count is handy in this way :wink:

To be honest.. kinda (i voted yes) I liek to be sorta known in the community, and i like to get to know other cool people.. so pposting is the only way to find out their personality/sense of humour etc etc

Sometimes I glance at someone's post count and am surprised how high it is.. usually because they frequent one of the boards that I rarely look at such as Media :)

the younger you are, the more important it is to you. trust me, i've learned. hell i go to forums for fun, one forum you don't even have post count and i still like browsing through it.

mods never delete they move to a deleted section. that way every post is logged and recorded so admins can search for persistant offenders.

 

 

 

However the downside to this is that the postcounts are never decreased :P

As you can see by my count, it isn't I try to make my posts worthwhile and spamless. I hate it how people will try to cheat like it's some game. I think that people's individual posts will bring more respect than their total count.

It isn't very important but it has use, I honestly must say I look differently to a person with 13 posts and a person with 1k posts

Nah, the only way it matters is when someone with 2 posts includes a link (like punk said earlier). I wouldn't mind if postcount was removed entirely. I've seen alot of other forums adopt that system, and they seem to run just fine.

I think it gives a first impression, like Jens said, I'm not looking the same way to a person with 50 posts and a person with over 2000 posts.

You shoulda had sometimes cus like i care about my post count, and others if they have like a topic that says "PmG frerune go to blablabla insert link here"

yes, and no. for me to have high post count, is not a big deal. im active...so mine'll get up there. but, with just over 300 posts, i wouldnt say im the most active...*points to the 800 sum posts guy* thats just a lot of spam, from the looks of it. dont know for sure though.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but, if someone comes claiming to be selling like, 5 p hats...and they have just 1 or 2 posts...im usually skeptical...
