yep, its because if jagex would make it not against the rules they would lose their biggset income: the power hungry mid level 8 year olds ( i don't say all 8 year olds are power hungry stupids, just a example). I don't scam and never have, but I follow the same philosophy. Even after this wilderness ditch update, people are still losing their phats to lurers (yes, people are that naive and stupid). Sheesh, people are forgetting this is a MMO ROLE PLAYING GAME, if someone wants to ROLEPLAY they are a thief or fraud, it should be possible, as long as it does not mean they are exploiting (IE bug abusing) to achieve their goals.

 

 

 

As for the real life comments: How often do you see dragons in real life? Is murder not illegal in real life? Ever seen someone cast a huge ball of fire and throw it at someone?

A) You didn't get caught (e.g. not getting banned)

Im 100% sure I said if someone is dumb enough to hand over their items willingly to another person, knowing very well what *might* happen, then they deserve to be scammed, as the other person didn't really do anything wrong, technically they were given the items. it really seam that some players are losing their heart. com on u want it all ur self but ur not willing to give anything, no wonder thousands of people die every day! o yee.. the west and us is to day consuming more and more, they buy things they don't need and somethings they never use, My point is that you should star thinking about all players as one, or would u rather sit on a town in a land whit no other humans? if money is real so important in the game that u you may kill other players happiness then i suggest u get some therapy...

jagax has the game and they make the law in it, they don't want scamer so let it be. if you want a game where u may scam then i suggest you make ur own game or find one where u may. (wonder why there's no such game.. well no one want to play!)

i dont think it should be banable. I do think its low to scam but ive been scammed twice and only blame myself for being so stupid. The way you done it wasnt really a scam as you said it was a trust excersice and obviously theyu trusted you too much so =D> to you but 6m isnt that much tbh

Personally, I think when you are smarter, stronger and such than other people you have a responsibility. Using any skills you have for personal gain is fine, but you should not step all over other people in the process. Scamming is not only stepping on people, it is rubbing your shoe in the pavement afterwards for good measure. Yeah, maybe the fault lies with the person who fell for it, but what kind of person takes advantage of that? Anyone can scam the greedy, the trusting, and the naive, it takes more respect for yourself as a person to choose to work towards goals and earning things.

now there's a BRILLIANT idea! RS isn't nearly realistic enough, I think that from now on, if you get PKed, you drop everything you own, the bank should reposess all your items, and you get perma banned so you can never play again! Then it will match RL perfectly :)

 

 

 

Point is, if you kill someone in a game, they come back from the dead, dust their knees off and keep playing. If they happened to lose their items when they died, it's their own fault for engaging in combat with another player, and they should understand that this type of competition can lead to losing your items.

 

 

 

Scamming, on the other hand, their stuff is gone for good, and they don't understand that they could lose their items, since they are expecting you to hold up your end of the deal, and not be a dirty cheat.

 

 

 

Besides, a person is only as good as their word is.

Scamming to its simplest form is finishing a deal that the other person didn't agree with. If someone doesn't agree with the deal, but it still happens, then something wrong happened.
