I've had literally... not even an hour of total experience playing GH in my entire life though, so I may have to wait a bit and build up some muscle memory before trying any Live :P .

 

 

 

Ah well, my bro got Assasins Creed for 360 for Xmas, and I've been rocking that game up a lot more than GH. So much fun seeing how many ways there are to kill ten guards at once with a short blade : .

bloody sodding typical, every song completed and damn near 5 starred on expert (except TTFATF of course) and my bloody memory card corrupts the data - couldn't have corrupted any of my brother's saved games ohhhhh no.

I just got it today and only had a chance to play a little bit.. and maybe its cos im using a HDTV this time and lag is making a difference, but it seems a bit harder than GH2 all around. I beat tom morello on hard on my 4th try then hard to turn it off. should get hard finished in a couple more sittings , then onto expert.. which i will likely never finish.

I'm on the last song set on Meduim, all the other ones completed bar Knights of Cydonia :lol: . I 4-starred that one on easy first time, then Medium came and :shock: .

whenever i read threads like this i think HOW do people find easy and medium difficult? they just arent. Even a lobotomized brick has enough hand eye coordination to be able to do easy... the only thing that trips you up with hard+expert is moving up and down the board to get the oranges, other than that its just a matter of improving your speed to be able to hit ridiculous strings of hammer ons and pull offs a la jordan.

Damnit, I just read somewhere that Bloc party - Helicopter is only available on multiplayer, is that true? I was looking forward to playing that *cry*

Rather ignorant, I assure you that people with more hand-eye-coordination than a brick have trouble getting medium songs in a way that they'd call easy. I, for example, haven't held a guitar since I was 8, that's 13 years ago. I manage to play for example soccer of badminton with what I'd call ease, but when it comes to beating Lou on medium it took me more than a handful of tries, which I'd call difficult.

 

 

 

Then there are kids, who might not be experienced timing things like the old gamers many people around here are, and the market has changed alot for games in general, people who are not as experienced in gaming now look to these new generation games cause they have some kind of social merit to them, it's no longer a loners thing to game. Well, to many it still is ofc :P

All I have left on Medium now is Lou and Kinights of Cydonia. . . which is frikkin' impossible on any difficulty other than Easy. I can't get better than like 75 percent on the Amending Chorus on slow :lol: . Such awkward combinations. . .

Also, I agree on the medium/easy being stupidly simple - I can understand screwing up the first time you pick it up but once you have the basics how hard can one note at a time (out of a possible 4) be?

Ouch..I just bought it today...wow. I guess I'll have to get rid of it..your friend said it sucks, y'know? Wait, hold up...I played it for 4 hours straight the first time I touched it...well, if it sucks, how did I manage to do that? It doesn't suck, and your friend is a tard.

 

 

 

As for Medium, the only thing that really trips me up is the speed. I had a lot of trouble with Institutionalized on GH 2 because it was kinda fast. Then again, I've only really ever spent time with the game for the past 3 days. Anyways, I'm almost on hard. I've just got to get used to the Orange Button, moving my hand, and adjusting to the speed.

Oh no! I didnt realize GH3 sucked! I thought it was quite good! Now that someones friend says so I will have to return it.

 

 

 

On the whole medium issue, I got GH3 3 days ago, already completely killed it on easy, and I have been taking a short break before medium to play with some other stuff. Medium looks somewhat intimidating, but after about 30 minutes I have gotten used to the blue button. Its not that bad. I think the main thing about medium is that its faster, thats what really trips people up, not the blue button.

knights of cydonia done first time on hard.. I went in from reading this thread thinking it was gonna be hard, and imo its by far the easiest song in it's tier, also my fave song in the game so far.

^ wait until you play it on expert, for some reason I found it easier - you know the fast strumming parts that have little gaps in between? Well I always had trouble hitting them exactly and often lost my multiplier. On the expert version its just a constant fast strum with no gaps - just a quick flick of the finger is all you need with no break in strumming.
