May 31, 200719 yr I can kind of see where this is going. However I would have to say no. First off, fish is a meat and secondly in real life, cooking involves all aspects of well, cooking. This includes, fruits, vegetables, grains meats and even highly toxic plants and animals such as puffer fish.
June 1, 200719 yr Same as what he said, and, If they wanted to split cooking, why not split construction into wood and other, and firemaking into logs and lamps?
June 1, 200719 yr Sensible idea. But i think it would make this too complicated if you started splitting skills into sub-skills. sorry if that doesnt make sense, its late. P2P offers more and better ways of making money than f2p. That's one of the cons you just have to play with if you don't feel like having 1 bigmac meal less per month.
June 1, 200719 yr Author No what I mean is should fish (relatively quick xp) and assorted cakes, stews etc (very slow exp,) be separated some how?
June 1, 200719 yr how about the opposite: making cakes/stews/pies more efficient, so players can become proficient in both parts of the skill?
June 1, 200719 yr I believe that it should be split into fish and baked goods/stews perhaps. It is a fact that cooking cakes and other foods besides fish are more difficult but that just means it is that much more of an accomplishment. This would give people an incentive to make those currently uncommon foods. As for splitting meat and fish, that just seems silly to me. June 1, 200719 yr fish and meat? that makes no sense what so ever. try meat and everything else. Lastfm
June 1, 200719 yr This is the same as split fletching into bows and arrows, and the answer is no. Doomy edit: I like sheep
June 1, 200719 yr I believe that it should be split into fish and baked goods/stews perhaps. It is a fact that cooking cakes and other foods besides fish are more difficult but that just means it is that much more of an accomplishment. This would give people an incentive to make those currently uncommon foods. This is more or less how I feel about the issue. Make it so that things which take 2 clicks (click food, click fire/range) are one area and more complex dishes (mix ingredients before cooking) are the other... I have been thinking about it since I originally heard the idea quite some time ago, and I rather like it.
June 1, 200719 yr how about the opposite: making cakes/stews/pies more efficient, so players can become proficient in both parts of the skill? Yes i would really like to see that happening... June 1, 200719 yr No. Just no. We'd all have to start from level 1 again, because I dont think Jagex have a log of every character back to their date of registering about every aspect like what type of food they have cooked at what quantity. Its better the way it is.
June 1, 200719 yr How about make cooking fish more complicated? You have first descale the fish and remove internal organs with a knife. Then stick the fish on a wooden skewer before cooking it over a fire or a range.
