Lionheart_0
If you don't want to pay money, then find another genre. MMO's are for spending money. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! deloriagod
Shadowbane is my favorite game of all time. And to top it off it's free ^_^ Internet Marketing For Newbies
crimsonking
LOTR online looks like a good bet. Indeed it is, but its $15 a month I personally like Gunbound, Pristontale, and flyff. Gunbound is a lot like worms, so if you don't like worms you probably won't like it. Pristontale is a lot like other mmos, its only free til level 40, but it takes a while to get up to 40 so it should keep you occupied for a while. And flyff is, again, like other mmos, there are many different combat classes and everything, it can get boring after a while, but its pretty good. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
look_its_rob
Im trying out Silkroad online now. its free and seems fun but it has some major major flaws imo Look its rob!
ThruItAll
I might try out FallenSword, has anyone got any opinions on that, I'll also be checking out the ones people have suggested. danke Schon Sam!^^"Blood runs thicker, oh were thick as thieves you know"-Carl Barât
ThurinEthir
Im trying out Silkroad online now. its free and seems fun but it has some major major flaws imo I played that for a few weeks. Got really boring...But I never got to level 20, so I never experienced the conflict thingy...With caravans... Silkroad was an alright game, just had a lot of repetition and not so much variety. 5 weapons, 7 masteries... But then, it's kind of like 9Dragons, so I'm contradicting myself... Anyways, more on topic. What type of MMORPG do you want? (Although most MMORPGs are really similar, it still would help if you told us...) Do you want modern MMORPGs (With guns and stuff)? Pre-Gun era? Mythical? Any specific type of storyline? Any features you'd like? Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. Nadril
If you're looking for a free MMO the only real suggestion I can give you with a straight face is Anarchy Online. An older game but you can get it and its expansion pack and play for free. I played it for probably 5 months or so and enjoyed it (and I paid for it back then). Tough to get into but a good free game. Other than that I can't really recomend anything. Most free games suck. You can give shadowbane a shot if you can get over the controls. MasterSamus
either play wow on a free server(not gonna tell anyone how for "not getting my butt sued reasons"), flyff(decent game after lvl 20= painful beginner), MapleStory(the good thing about this is the plaforming), Dungeon Runners(the f2p/p2p system is like rs but worst. f2p cant have banks, dont have access to the good weaps and their potions cant stakc in the inventory) Woot! Got total lvl 900 in f2p!
worecx
Flyff (Fly For Fun), i know this sounds weird, but this game totally owns! level 1 till 15 sucks but after that you choose your godly job :D. really i advice this game. experience from myself, level 72 knight which totally owns :D
adam_ross0
Knight Online is a free mmo..it's fun for a while. Whenever you start you get 3 days of free bronze membership..and it's fairly easy to learn and fun to get into. The server is VERY unstable though. A free MMOFPS is Warrock..at http://www.warrock.net I think. It is a modern-combat MMO that's free with the option to buy membership. In game, you earn money..you can take the money to the item shop and buy different guns and equipment to play with :) I bought an AK-47 and a M4 as soon as I got on..but now I'm broke on the cash and the AK's trial expired =(

It's more of an RPG than FPS, because better guns = more kills. It's like Whip vs. Rune Scimitar. Who's gonna win? You pay money for more in-game money, which buys better weapons. You don't get the thrill of getting fair kills, which ruins the point of a game. Play CS 1.6. Source is fine, if you have a beast PC that can get 70+ fps. syndrome445
You can try final fantasy XI, but its about $12 a month plus a whole lot of other expenses, and its not really a game you can play just to take a break from another game. click my (very bad) siggy for blog
