I like how the bad guys surrounding him are kind of vague and hard to make out, makes them a bit more sinister I think. Good job so far, I look forward to seeing the finished product. You should raise the contrast on the main guy and the sword, perhaps the shadow things too, if you're going for that mood. AA couldn't hurt. Good work.
