Yew Logs Prices...

My_Eggs

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this... When I trained fletching on my main that was banned about a month ago, Yew log prices were 285 to 300 ea, but now I can't even buy logs for 310 ea... People are actually buying for 350 ea. Whys this happening?

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

I dunno, the prices fluccuate alot. More people try to sell for higher, thus finding noone who sells for lower and then it just increases from there.

Those are my thoughts, anyways. :-k

This really shouldn't be the case though. Seeing how I haven't been a member for a good month and a half now, my time in F2p attempting to chop some Yews has shown has completly sick the autoing situation has become. I remember in around January as a F2per still, when I went to cut Yews I'd see about 5/6 bots in Lumbridge forest..

When I went to the same place there were literally over 30+. No. I am not exaggerating.

Yew log prices should be below 250gp each. Damn skill cape chasers. -.-

I honestly feel proud not to have a single level 99.

after the new string all update fletching has become even easier(never thought that would happen) so in turn more people are fletching=higher demand=higherprices

+1

Although I don't agree with how much is being output...I mean there are still plenty of yew autoers.. :uhh:

well after talking to redhaloguy about it a while he says he is happy that he did it before the update

lots of people say that the string update makes fletchin super slower

edit: redhaloguy has 99 fletchin :P not that it will make any difference to my post

Ya...jagex try to ban macroers but have you ever seen the mb latly? Every world you join there is a level 3 buying runes there. How arnt jagex fixing this??!?

Back on topic: The price of yews a few years back was 250 at the lowest. Then it changed a few months later. Prices will always change in runescape as long as there are enough people. The more people collecting resource X,the of resource X there is in the game. Thus the people buying it are faced with the enjoyable task of asking for as low as they want.

Some people buy an item when it becomes cheap in mass quantities and wait until it raises to its max price then sells.

I agree...I mean, before the update I could do 1K bows (stringing) in 18 minutes...that was my usual time...sure...my hand hurt and all, but it's better than spending 1 hr doing it! So it's like 3 times longer in my case...

I wish I had 99 fletching >.> Not really.

Jagex is doing as best as they can manage, people make new bots as fast as Jagex deletes them...maybe even faster. There's only so much they can do..but maybe they'll make requirements for certain things to prohibit autoers from ruining the economy. :)

this is why im trying to get 99 fletch as soon as i can. prices are skyrocketing because people know how profitable yew longs are now, so yews are raising

i buy mine for 330 now

TBH, I think its because of yew bots being banned. Not as much of them are out there so less yews in the economy. I kind of wish they were still around because now you can't even buy yews anymore. I was going to try to get to 99 fletching seeing that it is so easy. But I spent hours and hours trying to buy yews but no one was selling and everyone was buying.

right now i am thinking why nobody have thought about bot bans--- :XD:

there are still like 1k bots banned a week. lol i got 15k woodcutting ranks without cutting a single log.

less bots = less yew = higher prices

Some people do like bots. They're people who don't often do the skills which the bots dominate, i.e. wcing, fishing etc. Fletchers should love the bots, so should people going for a 99 cooking level because it gives them cheap raw materials.

They've been gradually increasing for some time now.

Before they released skill capes, they sold for 240 each. Skill cape knocked the price up to 280-300 as everyone was desperate to earn those fletching capes.

Now thanks to the string-all update, prices have been pushed up yet again.

Now unless Jagex make cutting yews faster or add even more trees, the price will remain high. They won't do either of those, as they fear Macroers enough already.
