June 26, 200719 yr Well, I've wanted for a while to move my computer back to the empty bedroom in our house, because my mom always sleeps on the couch for some reason (she has a king size bed), and whenever she wakes up in the middle of the night and sees me on the computer, of course she has to scream at me. I finally got hey permission to move the computer, the only problem was that there is no cable outlet in that bedroom, and we have Roadrunner (cable) internet service. So, the only way I could move the computer is if I installed a new cable outlet into that bedroom. And since I'm the one who wanted to do it so bad, my mom insisted that I do all the work myself ... So, even though I finally got a membership today, I couldn't play for most of the day, because all my time was spent trying to work out how to do this. So finally, after about 6 hours of work ... Drilling holes ... Running wires ... Crawling around in the attic ... Drilling more holes ... Finding out that I put the holes in the wrong place and have to patch them up now ... Crawling around in the back yard with a flash light ... Cleaning cat feces off all the wires for my computer! (My cat decided that 'under the desk' is his new litterbox) Moving electrical equipment ... Hooking everything back up and realizing that I made a mistake ... Running more wires ... I now have my computer in a nice empty bedroom where I can no-life in peace. You have my permission to be amazed. My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race.However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.

June 26, 200719 yr I've been lucky to have Internet in my bedroom for 5 years, make sure you get some sleep, because the first year i had my installed, i just woke up and went straight on the computer without even getting dressed etc... Make sure you don't make the same mistakes :boohoo: A friend to all is a friend to none.
June 26, 200719 yr I have a laptop (or 2 since im borowing my moms laptop, which actualy works nicely), and a desktop. At night I can't use the desktop because: a) My parents can proboly hear it through the door at night B) The side piece is clear and had a green light on it permanatly c) Theres 2 blue flourecent lights on the front, though I can turn those off. Using laptops in bed is uncoftorble though, it stats to dig into your chest if your on your back. Congrats on the DIY, I would have just bought a router.

June 26, 200719 yr I cant have it in my room, guess my parents are afraid of what i'll do in privacy on my computer :shock: . i have 2 laptops (my bro uses one of em) and both are on a nice big table in my living room. I suppose its ok because i really don't care where i play as long as i'm comfy and within 6 feet of the kitchen for snacks :twisted: [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. June 26, 200719 yr I got an old desktop in my room..I can't play many games because it's only 98 SE..but hey, we managed to get DSL going :D. I've also got a decent tv..where they bought a new HD Tv..they moved the old 27" back to mom's room..so i got the one she used to have. and since we never used the satellite box downstairs, I brought that into my room ^_^ Add in the fact that all my conole games are there, too..and my room's a cave =P~
June 26, 200719 yr I have a computer with internet in my room but it's old and the cord has to run through the house. So I barely use it, but instead the computer in the family room and living room. Me doing staff.
