How2PK
So, we're as good as done with the summer blockbusters. Pirates has been out for a while, Harry Potter had it's premiere last week and also Die Hard, Ocean's 13 and Shrek 3 have been released now. So, what others movies are you looking forward this year? Personally I can't wait to see The Golden Compass, Stardust, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, I am Legend and of course Seeney Todd! A lot of fantasy for my likings, but ah well. The end of the year is looking very interesting. What about you guys? Nadril
So far really only that weird Cloverfield [01/01/08] trailer that played before the transformers movie has peaked my interest. That being said I'm not a big movie person and have no idea whats coming out when.
Mercifull
I care about NOTHING until I have seen Transformers. lol Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. pfilc23
From what I've seen I am Legend looks quite good. I actually think Hot Rod looks pretty funny, but I'd be hard-pressed to say I'm really looking forward to it...lol. Also, I just watched a trailer for Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon, which I think will be good. I think 10,000 BC looks good, tho not out until '08 sometime
indy500fan
Many of those already stated (so I won't bother putting them here again) and I'll add Sunshine, which is coming out here on July 20th. Juno I would like to see just because of the cast. Story sounds a little lame. Shoot 'Em Up looks like a fun action movie. Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited will be a good one to see. Fanboys I will definitely see, too bad it comes out the same day as the movie codenamed Cloverfield.
Satenza
Ugh, i hate this time of the year for cinema :P But anyway, im looking forward to Stephen Kings 1408 which looks quite good, as well as the already mentioned Stardust for the cast. That's it really. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

I read the series back in like middle school and I was hoping they would make a movie out of it, and now they are. When I found out I was so excited.. Anyways honestly I'm looking forward to Rush Hour 3. But the books aren't obscure either, they are pretty popular. @Harrington: Yeah, I heard some really good things about Sunshine. Shame it had to come out a month or two later here than elsewhere. I guess that happens the opposite way usually though, so I shouldn't complain.

All I know was that I liked the book a lot when I read it many years ago. I haven't even heard anyone talking about it until this thread actually. I hope the movie is as good as the book. The preview looked pretty good, of course it's not exactly like the book but movies are a different medium and the story has to be changed a bit. I read the story a long time ago though, so maybe the preview wasn't as different from the book as I thought. I really enjoyed the book, I never did finish reading the trilogy though. I could only find the first one at the library, and the last time I went a few weeks ago I could only find the third one. I really want to read them all.
