I know, we can all stand in Falador Center W99 and hold our breath until everyone that isn't from TIF leaves.. ohh... wait.. that method doesn't work. :roll: Well, it seems that everyone is just having fun suggesting worlds. No reason for anyone to get mad and turn into a control freak about it.. Let's have a global poll first on whether or not it should be changed, and then on what world it should be if/when we decide that it needs to be changed. Something along these lines could be done about the F2P homeworld as well. I myself just use W17 on F2p, but that is only because it pwns.. no particular reasons.. I really don't care what world is chosen, if a new world is chosen for the TIF P2P homeworld.. I don't seem to lag anywhere with dial-up, I'm not sure how other people do (low def lags). I guess I'll just hop around until this is all resolved? In the mean time, W27 ftw. So tomorrow I'll look at the worlds and see the amount of players in each. And if it does go down to it that we need a new world..Imo I dont think it should be posted on the main page. People use Tip it alot for the guides and dont use the forums like I used to do. A bunch of people will just pick random worlds that they dont even care about. IF they used that world they wouldnt know anyone because they dont use the forum. The whole topic seems to be jumping the gun and setting it up that it needs to be changed before anyone can even determine it one way or the other. And if we were going to change why wouldn't you just use another server in the same location? American servers (which is where this one is located) are usually grouped in 2's and 3's. Not to impugn Jagex's commitment to their updates, but as you've no doubt seen they have a history of waffling when an update causes a huge negative reaction. They did it regarding Swiftswitch and changed the rules several times in a short period. The prudent thing to do would be to hold off entirely until it's certain they won't be altering things yet again which could make people change their minds. You would say "NO NO MAKE W27 THE HOMEWORLD IS THE BEST!!!" Not any 10 people should choose the world of thousands. Ok? lets have someone make a list of EVERY SINGLE P2P WORLD. And have a massive poll. A massive poll would be worse. It would divide the community and as you can see we are already fighting over it. With so many choices, there might not be a clear cut winner. It could be close between a few worlds. People would probably get angry at the winning result and go to the world they voted for anyways. I don't think we should wait any longer either because I've been having trouble getting into 99 for at least the last two weeks. Why? It's summer. Face it, Tip.it is growing and there are tons of us trying to get onto 99. If we wanted to wait, we would have to wait until summer is over. I don't really like the idea of 27 because it's a low number. DO you really want to sit at your comp for another 2 weeks for 5 minutes just to get in World 99 and 7 and say a few "Hyts"? Retired as of August 23rd with 91 Firemaking and 6m xp in it. Um, it just changed this week so activity is independent of world usage. Jagex updating it would seem to be indicative of people changing worlds which is why waiting till an update or two has passed before changing would be smart... but it doesn't matter because I'm not meeting arguments based on logic. Do what you like.
