well before the update there was about 110k people playing and then after the update only 40k people where playing and most poeple when they see a update are gonna stay on and check it out right? so does this mean that there where 70k macros playing?

No, the patient people waited for rs to be back up, impatient would have left. :-s

30k were probably macros.

The other 40k are just impatient noobs.

Of the 70k people that stopped playing after the update:

10k were macroers, 20k were impatient 9 year olds, 20k went to sleep, 15k realized they had better things to do than waste their time on RS, and 5k were old people who had to take their medication.

There are some people out there that fall into this catorgy. ( which i have in the past). They keep playing and don't look at the clock, when they are forced to stop, the peer at the clock and can't believe the time.

Plus we don't know how fast the current number of people playing runescape changes numbers.

I suspect a large number were indeed macroers as I have noticed a distinct lack of macroers around today. For instance on World 53 for the last couple of weeks you could guarantee at least 6 macroers at the Crafting Guild tews, at least 4 around each yew tree south of Falador and at 10 in the flax field. Today there are NONE.

if there were that many macroers.. wow boy. lol

I'm sure it was just impatient people. Well, atleast i hope so :-k

OT: Most of them probabley went to bed/did something else; and one person hung themselves because they were about to beat Jad when the update happened.

We tried using an abyssal whip to 'suggest' they work faster

What you're saying to us doesn't make much sense... but I think my answer is this... no, 70k macros were not playing at the time.

I tend to be one of the first to log back in, although I do tend to read the updates and check out the new kb articles.
