to be honest its scary, a while ago I got into it, almost asked a girl that I got to know well to be my runescape girlfriend, didn't, we lost contact, and then I saw "her" about a month later and she was a guy..

I met a couple a week or so ago, and now i'm great friends with both. They're both close to the same age, and despite being in different time zones have indeed met.

21 may be be too young for some people, but my parents got married at 18. It is still working. However, they are a statistical anomally, so it usually doesn't work out, but the moral of that story is to not let other people tell you that you're too young. I think.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'll be 18 soon and no way am I getting married then. I intend to serve a mission from 19-21 so I can't get married before then. Earliest i could get married is 21 and it might be easy seeing as mormon girls love return missionaries. As for marriages not working out, I hope I pick the right woman, she's supposed to be my eternal partner.

Amen to that. I'm not going to state any religious preference, but I don't believe in divorce and whether my future wife and I hit some bumps I plan to go through it patch things up rather then just ditch them like some other girl. >.<

Okay, well I won't name names unless it's to a Jagex Mod, but I have a slightly disturbing story. So, I'm at blue dragons and one way or another I met two new people I'm going to call Rabbit and Doll. I have no idea how, but within a few hours Rabbit and Doll have turned into a sterotypical "virtual couple". I know they were in different time zones at least because we were talking about what times it was for each of us, so I know they had never met in real life. I got pretty close to both of them and Rabbit trusted me with clue items and such, but after a week or two Doll started telling me details of her life. Some of them including: she had a daughter, she was 34, and Rabbit was 16. I thought something like that would cause them to stop being a "couple", but it didn't. Later, Doll was telling me how she wanted to meet up with Rabbit when he was 18, but less than an hour later she said some things making me think that she'd be okay with meeting him now. That immediately sent up a red flag so I tried to talk some sense into Doll as she seemed like the one I'd be able to reason with. The day after doing this, Rabbit pms me and goes on this rant about me trying to ruin his life and how Doll didn't listen to me. Needless to say, they both blocked me. Now, I'm at a loss of what to do... even if I had gotten them banned, they were already talking outside of Runescape. I feel really bad about this whole thing happening, and I really don't want to see them in the next news story...

Im surprised many people are overlooking the fact that 'Doll' could very well be a male adult over the age of 18, soliciting intercourse from underage boys on the internet. Just because there was a female arrested for doing this does not mean you should overlook the fact that there is, statistically speaking, a much higher rate of males soliciting intercourse then females.

My sister met a man on the internet who said he was 20 and she hooked up online with him, then found out he was a 34 yr old alcoholic, divorced pedophile. I think you did the best you could with what you had. If she was making sexual overtures and threats then you could also have requested Jagex take legal matters. As for 16 being the age of consent in many places, the boys parents could still file statutory rape charges upon said woman. Like many have said we need to realize that many male pedophiles pretend to be females so as to gain a boys trust. And vice versa. Using a "child" as a buffer to gain trust is one of the many ways to get close and start a relationship. And lets face it people, a 16 yr old/ 34 yr old relationship is unwise anyway. Especially if she has children and has never met this person, or even if she has its not healthy. She could end up raising another "child". I myself married at 18 had 2 children by the time i was 20. My husband wasnt a good father,husband,provider, and I lost my children to the state. So there are things she could lose as a result of the relationship. you did all you could and were capable of doing. Nothing more could be asked for or of. As for ruining Rabbits life, he probably already did that. Dont feel guilty, we cant help some peoples choices and only hope to learn from their mistakes. If you still feel like you could have done something talk with a Social Services worker and see what advice they could give you. I've seen RuneScape weddings before. I've actually attended one. I find it disturbing because they don't even know each other... However, if I know somebody is in danger, I will notify JAGeX right away.
