Gin_and_Tonic
Heya. Im bored of staking, and i'd like a good 99 stat. I was thinking mage, but since the new fletching update, yew longs are like 640ea -.-' Then i thought Firemaking. Nice, good cape, but very common now. So theres craft - Expensive, but kinda worth it as its a nice cape. Cooking is VERY common, so thats out the question. Fishing is good, but very, very, very time consuming and boring... So, and ideas? Im being a bit of a pesitmist, so feel free to point out the good things :P
Joes_So_Cool
You could try investing in 99 smithing :) Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
Gin_and_Tonic
You could try investing in 99 smithing :) Yeah, but then would the returns on it be worth while? I only play maybe 2 hours a day if im lucky, so im looking for a nice, easy, but good 99 :D
Joes_So_Cool
Hmm.. Nice and easy.. Not much comes to mind other then cooking and fletching... You might want to try FireMaking or Crafting. Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
hephaistos50
I'd go for magic. It should come in handy if you ever want to go back to the arena again. Enchanting in the Mage Training Area should be just as fast, if not faster than alching, but cosmics might be hard to come across in large amounts and enchanting could become a little boring after a while. Monster Hunting could be another alternative. Good luck with whatever you choose.
no_way2go
You could indeed go for crafting. It's fast xp when you buy the hides. You could alch some of your crafted materials to get magic up also. - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
Malhavok
I'm guessing you are thinking of a bought skill; i.e. A skill you can buy materials to train. Cooking: Easy but VERY common Construction: Expensive but VERY rare Crafting: Can be expensive but very profitable Firemaking: Easy and almost as common as Cooking Fletching: Easy and same as Cooking, but now easier Herblore: Expensive and rare, but profitable Prayer: Expensive but rare Smithing: Expensive and rare but profitable These examples are debatable but you get the picture. mpg321
I would reccomend crafting it is fairly fast if you make green d hide bodies or blue, hwoever im not sure whether it will be within your budget to buy all the hides as tanned, so you will end up tanning some yourself but it will still be fairly fast. Blog to all 99's! Look here to find out how im doing it

Yeah, i intended to buy them all as hides and tan anyway. Saves me nearly 200gp on each hide. Im about to go into World 2 to try and get some hides, and see how to do. Thanks for the advise. meb
Smithing: Expensive and rare but profitable Contradiction? I would go for Crafting, it's pretty rare and not very hard or expensive. You'll lose 20m at most. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. no_way2go
Hides are also rather cheap now due to all the green drag autoers... I'm not defending these people since they are breaking the rules with rl trading but it's a good source of hides. - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
dynastyfan0
Crafting FTW! Im currently going for 99 crafting. Buying leathers = 45m Buyin hides and tanning = 17m Its also a really good money maker once you get it high. Making fury's is great money, if you get the tokkul cheap enought. (PM me for how I get uncut onyx for 3.3m if you dont know). Also, you could get mage alking green hide bodies. This is becomming popular, hide bodies alk for like 4600+ and the sell for 4425-4450 each. 2181st to 99 Runecrafting on 7/28/2009
nubatman
Prayer. Since there are few that do keep their capes on, it's one that is generally used less. I only buy small bones, but if your a member, you got more of a chance to get higher exp bones. Myself... That is the 1 i would choose.
Gin_and_Tonic
Prayer. Since there are few that do keep their capes on, it's one that is generally used less. I only buy small bones, but if your a member, you got more of a chance to get higher exp bones. Myself... That is the 1 i would choose. Well, im actually 1 pray for life... Like it says in my signature :-# I've gone for these options; I've bought 82k lobbies raw, 14k trouts raw and 13k salmon. I will cook them all and see where it gets me. I also have 250k feathers. Which is more than enough for 99 fishing by Fly fishing at Shilo. My final 99 level will be firemaking. Im in the process of buying 100k maples for it. The twist is, im hoping to get all 3 99's at once. So my plan is to get about 10k from all 99's, then throw a big party :D Catch fish, light fire, cook fish How does that sound? :uhh: I know they're some of the 'easier' 99's, but i went into crafting, and prices were nearly 1.6k-1.65 for hides. I'd also need to spent 3million getting 63 craft, which will be totally wasted.
junkiejeff
Looking at your stats, I see they aren't very high. Why don't you try to first train some trains till around lvl 70. And then try a 99?

And then try a 99? Erm, you're making me sound like i haven't had another account before with skills... My old main had 18million fletching xp, so i have patience... Also, this account, if you didn't guess, was a staker. Hence high hp, high attack, 1 pray :P But thanks anyway i guess
Ledusskapis
And how about farming? If you invest a lot of money on seeds that shouldnt take very very long...just very long...and i havent seen many farmin capes out there
Escape5
Do craft and mage at the same time Buy green hides for 1.55 mil and the nats for what? 300 ea?? Then craft into bodies (assuming ur at least 63 craft) and then high alch green bodies for like 4.6k or w/e they alch for.
Oh_Game_Over
Well I have an odd-ball idea for ya. Crafting + Mage. Making Bodies + Alching. I would go in to much more detail but Im sure you get the point. Idk just kinda though of it. Dont bother flamming me for a "half-butted" idea on the fly. Just a though. Aresgodowar
greens are down due to lots of ppl killing them to sell bones to players trying to get new prayers. Americans love to fight. Soulthresher
Looks like you are doing cooking, fishing, and firemaking. Very cheap and easy 99s :D Just wondering how can you be bored with staking :?: :?: :?: Cooking and firemaking won't take to long but have fun with fishing, its a real drag.
