6 Men Trapped In Utah Coal Mine Cave-In

Featured Replies

I hope they're all right. :(

I heard on the news that they said they had enough water (and food?) to last them for a few days.

Let's hope they get out alright.

wont the carbon monoxide in the coal mine kill them within a few hours tho

They have these devices they wear..argh....oh..apparatus! Its like incase of emegrency, which gives them like air...

they said they have at least 2 days worth of water and air, which is plenty for rescuers to get them out, assuming there isn't another cave in.

The whole thing about an earthquake causing the cave in is fishy to me, I've heard that the cave in caused the earthquake.

my feelings are simple. i feel very sorry for them and i wish them the best of luck. its funny how people talk out here in the world but when their put in a situation like that....well i just hope they still act that way.

I hope they get out of there alive, dying in a smelly dark cave has to be a horrible way to go.

Follow the doughnut to my blog! :D

This sounds similar to the Beaconsfield mine cave in, if I remember correctly, occurred in Tasmania last year. The two blokes who survived the ordeal are now living pretty comfortably now I'd imagine, as they sold their stories to the media for a nice sum.

I predict the same outcome here.

A few days ago, they said they wouldn't be able to reach the miners for a week, but oxygen was flowing into the area where they were trapped. Last night however, the news said a drill might've reached them at "any moment." Its many moments later... once again, cable news has lied to me. :boohoo:

They should mine their way out.

Sig by me....

They should mine their way out.

This really is a serious issue and topic, and mining anything down there (for all they know) could cause another cave-in.

I feel sorry for them and wish them the best. However, I hope that they aren't down there feeling sorry for themselves. Comes with the job.

I saw that on the news last night. It must be horrible down there, probably pitch black, and they probably dont know how far down they are either.

I hope they get out all right
