Gibson SG 3D guitar.

Featured Replies

I ran into some problems in the texturing phase of the sauna and also grew bored into it so I decided to start another project - a bit more traditional one: a guitar.

Here are some images of the modeling process.

And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid.

John Lewis is a great, great shop.

Amazing!........ Cant see anything wrong with it but im not much of a guitar person so i wouldnt know anyways!

that's hella nice mate :) i'm just gonna rate it 10. can't see anything wrong with it, and looking forward to the finished version :)

When you come to colour it make it dark red with a glossy layer on top for the tradional look. :D

the top string is to thick even for a 0.10 set.. (that means the low E should be at a o.48)

and i dont think you can plug a plug into that.. since the screw is directly ontop of the guitar :P

10/10 it is soo cool.. but what are you going to do with it? :D

Might be high gauge strings, and lots of guitars have their inputs on the front of the body (Explorers, Vs).

Modelling is very nicely done, but an SG! Ewww. Do a Strat.

2 things, isnt the shape alittle bit deformed? according to the propective the lower left part of the guitar is alittle bit twisted

and, you should make the area where the plug goes in, darker! as if theres a hole there 8)

i got a japanese fender strat, 8) 2 amg agressive pickups wilkinson bridge. and an extra gadget my teacher added, it allows me to combine more pickups with eachother... something weird

Firabolt, I'm not quite sure what you mean with the deformation.

Here's the first (for you) material render.

Very very impressive, only issue I have is the top (forgotten what it's called) is a little too small, that's it though, very nice.

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(

It's so so...

REAL

I bow for your 3D-ing skills :)

The inlays are a bit too big, and the ones at the 12th fret should be closer together.

Just going to do dot inlays? :( *Personal [specialInterest] to get rich and then be able to have all the inlay he wants! Mwahahwahwa*

You've done this, and a Strat, now how about a ESP F-400 ;)

now do an amp to go with it........complete with the chords......and have it sitting in a guitar stand. that would be awesome. looks great though.

what progam are you using to make your work in?

you should never attempt to insert a floppy disk in a 56X CD-ROM drive, as floppy disk shrapnel hurts

Oh and looking at it, I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t think the mother of pearl inlays in the fret board are set at the right spacing. I could be wrong thought̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ

Awesome work. You have mad 3D skillz

the distance between the frets is to big, to small.

hhmz, nice material. and creating an amp shouldnt be to hard :) try a fender 25 v amp.

btw, do you play heavy metal? im on the aces high solo... i need afew pointers :)
