Irish_Geek
I was just thinking about clanchat and the community of runescape. Everyone knows how messed up it is. It is built off greed and selfishness. Also runescape is largely a single player MMO, you only need to team up with people for a few quests and the killing a few beasts. It is not a game like...City of Heroes, where if you ask someone to be your team, they are all looking forward to advancing the cause and not looking out for themselves. I like clanchat, becuase it enables you to talk to all your friends whenever you want and not privately. BUT like stated, most players are looking out for themselves and wouldn't think twice about backstabbing a potential new friend for the sake of getting themselves farther in the game. Do you think that the current community can handle CC, with all the greed it was brought up on? Quality posting at its finest.

kam42705
What the hell are you talking about? If it's single player, how do people get the items they need? Surely it's not through killing Abby Demons for their own Abyssal Whip? i mean wth no1 cares about that weak noob that was scared of the great almighty lord ZAROS! Acelgoyobis
Yes. Because now more than two people can actually engage in private conversations. (I don't care about clans anyway)
Italian5kamikaze
Lol lets do an experiment. You dont communicate or make contact with any player in the game and compare your progress to someone elses after a week and we'll see who made more progress and how much, this isnt close to a single player MMO at all. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

That's what being muted is like -.-. Anyways why are you complaining if you don't want to use it just don't. Some people would beg to use it. Kenshinjapan
Don't you have something better to do than criticize other games? And the answers to the questions in your titles are no and no. We don't really deserve any of the updates they give us. Paying a whopping 5 dollars a month isn't going to ruin the business if you stop playing. And using the word "need" doesn't really describe anything very well. Every 5 year old says that they "need" something that they just want. All in all, your an ant in the business world and few opinions aren't going to make a difference. YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE!
sined_starbo
If you dont like it dont use it it simple. For me I love it one of the better game updates in along time. I now chat to a whole group of ppl that I have known for ages and have fun. As for being useless what about the multigame aspect of RS being able to communicate as a group in Castle wars brings a whole new tactic to it. Same can be said to a lesser extent Pest Control
Daviduhlich
Do you think that the current community can handle CC, with all the greed it was brought up on? Do you think that the world in its present state, with all its inherent greed and corruption and oppression and dishonesty and so forth, can handle a new system that allows computers around the world to connect and communicate with each other? Where would we be today if there existed such a thing as that?

Clanchat can be used for general chat like how you use irc. It does not always have to be used by clans. I still don't understand why the runescape community doesn't deserve that feature. Oh and by the way, explain the quoted part. Thanks. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
