stephenwenn Posted April 15, 2007 Share Posted April 15, 2007 lol on my old muted account i palyed on him for 3 years.... i got mime boots and gloves at very low lvl... at about 90-93 cb i got him 2 more times for glass box and rope climb... in 3 years.... on and i got 1 drill demon for hat.... my new account has had 1 mime for top in 2 mouths and 3 camos.... got top n hat... went barrows and clcicked on dh chest and die lossing it... 5 mins later i get top bk... im lvl 54 and getting loads of events i didnt get on muted account i quit.... :evil: on my to lvl 4 combat and 2 fishing! occ51 Posted May 14, 2007 Share Posted May 14, 2007 i got mine when training attack on goblins(was a lvl 18 back then), whilst woodcutting, and also whilst fletching. the best way to get randoms like mime and drill demon and the lederhosen guy for me was alching outside a bank, not in it 'cus you can't get randoms there. i had 2k yew longs to alch and i got these as randons: mime 5 times lederhosen guy 4 times puzzle box thing 8 and the MOM gave me a lil cash by talkin to him: 6 times. full mime pwnz0rz j00 \ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

truffoo Posted May 18, 2007 Share Posted May 18, 2007 My theory on randoms is as follows: * Certain randoms (e.g. Rock Golem, Troll, Tree Spirit, Gravedigger, Zombie) are 100% only found while doing certain tasks * Other randoms are more weighted towards appearing during certain tasks (e.g., Evil Chicken while fishing, Mime while melee training) * The rest fill in the gaps. Similar to the rare drops theory that a 'wheel' is spun, imagine a lottery wheel where 50% of the options are Rock Golem, followed by 10% each for Sandwich lady, Miles, MOM, Evil Chicken, Evil Bob. Obviously just an example, but explains how I see it. Edit: Oh, and where you are also affects what random you might get or how often. I didn't get any Zombie random until training in the Stronghold on Minotaurs. Within a week, got full Zombie plus emotes. Haven't had any outside of the Stronghold. It's not a straight 'pick from the list of all randoms' type of thing. You could almost call randoms 'manipulated random events'.
