Chewed bones vs mith dragons.

Featured Replies

I think the only real purpose of the burial ships are so you can essentially get a free chance at a d full drop. The most likely situation is that mith dragons do drop them, but they also drop the bones which are certainly worth using, since a free chance at getting a very valuable item which is dropped by a very powerful monster very rarely, is an offer too good to refuse, even if the chance may be slightly reduced.

Actually, for all we know, it may be more likely in pyre ships. With drops as rare with difficult to attain samples (mith dragons are slow to kill), it may take a while for us to determine a pattern yet.

its possible the god wars dungeon may introduce a new monster which drops d full as well.

1) post a pic showing otherwise

2) learn your stuff, the most expensive item appears at the top of the pile, the rest are random. Bones have a really low alch value, and mith bars dont alch for over 1k. The dragon full helm goes for over 50k+ to the gen store. :shame:

Well, you say its not fake, but you denouce it?

They cancle eachother out, so which is it?

Do you think it is altered in any way, or what?

From experience in drops, the most expensive alch value item is ALWAYS on top, and the rest are random. Im am positive dragon bones and mith bars alch for a value less than that of the dragon full helm.

Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Nah, I think we haven't killed enough dragons. Those things are level 300 right? It is probably the same drop rate as getting third age from a clue :-w

To be honest it was under the 3 mithril bars and above the dragon bones when I got it.

it said

mithril bar

mithril bar

mithril bar

dragon full helm

dragon bones

I don't know why it was set up so weird but i just remember that dragon helm was not on the top.

and I don't think that the drop is fake but i think that he got overly excited when he got the drop like I did and picked it up right away then he realized he should take a screenshot and dropped it back on the ground

Good to finally see a drop picture of it. Atleast now we know it's possible.

I do feel Jagex have made the drop a bit too rare. They're hard to kill, require a let of resources, take a long time to kill but they also have a low drop rate, doesn't make TOO much sense. 2 of the 3 things maybe, but all three is pushing it on something that in my opinion is rather useless. I'd have expected all three on something that's going to be a very very powerful item (God Sword maybe?) And not a dragon large.

Mithril dragons are known to drop dragon full helms

3 chewed bones = NOTHING

Jagex really can't win can they, a few months back there was a veritable tide of "OMG all the updates are for noobs and are too easy" rants. So Jagex turns the difficulty up a notch, puts a bit more challenge into the game and it becomes a superdooper hyper conspiracy to make us spend more money on membership.

Seriously, I wonder why they even bother =;

Mithril dragons were a high level update. Making the d full helm insanely rare was not, it was just tedious and annoying. From what I've heard, it's almost as expensive to get it as a drop as it is to buy it for 43 mil. A high level update deserves a reliable reward. That is what people are complaining about; not the difficulty.

I don't think anything combat related deserves anything "reliable" personally, combat has always been the luck of the drop, whether its more gp from a goblin, a mystic robe from an abberant (sp) spectre or a d chain from the KQ thats the way it always has been and always will be. If you want "reliable" reward thats what skilling is for. A suitable analogy perhaps would be skilling being a stock market (where you hope to hell your material is worth something :) ) and monster killing being the lottery (but with more stabbing). It all comes down to whether you have the patience to keep on killing and eventually be rewarded.

And finally, even if it is too hard to get a D full helm (and I realise that a subjective thing) I really REALLY doubt Jagex has done it to con us nto keeping membership as Highlanders seems to be suggesting.
