September 3, 200718 yr This update has definitely helped me. I gather all of my own resources (excluding slow-xp ones like bowstrings) since I want to get my gathering skills to 99, so increased availability of trees/rocks/dragons/etc. is just what I need. The only thing I dislike is that bowstrings and such now cost 10-20 gp more each, but that's a measly price to pay if it means there are less autoers :) .
September 3, 200718 yr Well imagine if there was no autoers and the yews would be 400+ . It's something we must deal with as a community. All we have to do is make those uber rich people get off their [cabbage] and cut yews/pick flax/and mine ess. Becuase it's good for you too XP+fr33 material=a happy player :) How would yews be 400 ea if yew+bowstring+nat ->768 gp (or even 900 gp) There is automatic self-regulation in this sort of economy. Add up the current prices, 350 + 180 + 280 = 810. That's at lowest prices too.
September 3, 200718 yr I guess the bannings hurt me more than they helped. Before, when the autoers were at full power, green dragonhide prices were reasonable compared to the price a dhide body alchs for. 1 hide cost 1.5k, 1 body alchs for 4.68k. 3 hides were worth 4.5k, therefore making a loss of only 100-120gp per alch, if you also bought your nature runes. I liked that, for I could get 99 crafting without losing too much money. Now I can just imagine it... autoers gone, greedy players pumping up prices, as they always do when something alters the general demand and supply. Next thing you know, green hide prices up to 1.8k each, dhide body prices up to 4.6k each, meaning you lose a heck of alot more gp per alch! Thats not very appealing, is it? One option is to kill dragons yourself. I don't like that option much, it's too time-consuming to make me think it could be worth the saved money. Plus I never liked collecting resources in the wilderness.
September 3, 200718 yr Its actually hurt me. I bought 2k dragon bones, they jumped to 2k cause of this. I can' train crafting till the gold farmers start getting those hides back to market. :| 2181st to 99 Runecrafting on 7/28/2009
September 3, 200718 yr I liked them around. Save me a hell of a lot of money. I'm not gonna lie, I don't mind them one bit, shame to see them go. I hope they're back soon. Well, I hope MORE are. \ my youtube
September 3, 200718 yr I'm very happy, lobby prices went up and i just happened to be working on getting 99 fishing through lobbys...   No witty signatures for me :(
September 3, 200718 yr It's hurt me, those macroers have taken up my resource collecting places, like the catherby yews. :( No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
September 3, 200718 yr I now know what a yew tree looks like, you get the point. :P Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.
September 3, 200718 yr It's a fake economy. Once the cheaters are banned or stopped in some way- prices regulate to how they should be. If its more expensive to do fletching then... oh well. thats the price. It just seems high because your used to a unnaturally deflated price. the same thing happens in real life with jobs/resources that are un naturally low in salary due to an influx people taking advantage of illegals or the underage.
September 3, 200718 yr Not really, Nature runes did drop in selling price, but the drop in Ess price compensates for it ;). Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.
