runescapeloser22
Ok so, you know the FM Transmitters that attach to your iPod that let you play your iPod music on the radio? Well I have a question about them. My bus driver for school, he's old, listens to a station called "Oldies 103.3" -.- Now, I'm on the bus for at least an hour (both ways combined) each day, and I don't like listening to oldies, and neither does anybody. So I got the idea of transmitting my iPod music onto the Oldies radio station using my sisters FM Transmitter. Does this work? I don't know much about them, so can you only play on the specified channel? Or can you play on any? Thanks! :XD: (By the way, if this works I'm going to blast the song "Hot Dog" by Limp Bizkit and see how the bus driver reacts, imagine listening to old songs and then suddenly hearing a song dropping the f-bomb like a million times in a row  )
ltb2006
If it transmits on that freq then yes, although it'll probably be a mix of the 2. Also I think this would be better in Tech and Computers?

angryjoe
Or you could just listen to your ipod through your earphones and let your bus driver listen to what he wants. It must be a [cabbage] job driving little brats around for low pay so you could at least show him some respect by not trying to turn his music off. Not really, the guy makes a valid point. Let the driver listen to his music, you have your own iPod to listen to yourself if you are unhappy with his music taste. Mercifull
Most likely it will just fuzz up and both stations will be unintelligible. Its also illegal to broadcast over someone else's frequency. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Well yes your right, but the question wasn't "is it acceptable?" it was "will it work". I am sure he knows that it wouldn't be very fair on the driver. Harrington
It depends which signal is stronger... you tend to find that one will completely blank out the other. Having experienced this many times whilst driving on motorways, I frequently hear my own radio station being interrupted by a passing car. At that point, the signal strength being emitted was stronger than the radio mast at that range. Most FM broadcasters allow you to select a range of frequencies. As a comon courtesy, you should select a popular station and move 0.2-0/4 away from it.
Diesel
I have an FM transmitter for my iPod, and the only station that I can play it on is like 107.5. There's nothing on there. If I get any other reading at all, it overrides my signal. I think my transmitter is a peice of junk anywyas, because I can only transmit from about 2 feet away. Any more than that and it doesn't work. Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew
Sir_Alex85
Your bus driver's rockin' to like, The Zombies or some old group, and then some loud music comes on... A horrible scene as bleeding kids are rushed from the smoking wreckage of the school bus... Runescapeloser22 stands, rockin' out. ---------- It really has

QF smegging T Have you not got better things to do than to hijack some man's mundane life in getting you on time to school for your worthless education? I'll ditto that. I mean sheesh it might be funny, like once, for a quick laugh or something, but how can selfish can you get? You don't like his choice in music so you're just going to change it to what you want and he has to go along with that, right? Think about how that sounds. Besides, those things can only broadcast on empty frequencies, probably wouldn't work. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

Actually, we've been going to school for like 6 days? We've been at least 15 minutes LATE every day, so my friend thought of this for "revenge" since he won't let us turn around or even put anything in the aisles because of "a motorcycle crashing through the back and driving down the aisle" (I swear that's what he says)

This little statement just sounds like to me: "Oh, but I'm a good student really! I'm not really a terror! not me! I can be mature!" This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. deloriagod
The trasnmitter will only play on a station where there is no signal or you'll end up with a lot of static. If it's like my ex-gf's transmitter it also has to be plugged into the outlet/cigarette lighter. And angryjoe has a point, let the man be and just use your headphones.
