egoclaudius
I don't know how long 5 seconds are in Runescape, but I know one thing for sure... When I cast bind, the opponent is moving after 2 seconds already. Why doesnt bind hold an opponent for 5 seconds? Am I doing it wrong??
Sy_Accursed
if cast successfully it does bind for 5 seconds. If they r moving after 2 seconds either you count seconds far too slowly OR your failing to cast it succesfully Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
egoclaudius
No really, I count normal seconds. I sometimes fail and then the targed isn't binded att all (You see the white drops). The rest of the time I bind for 2 seconds. I have 60 mage, I might be able to bind succesfully..

So true when ur the caster it seems to hold for mere seconds even with ice spells When ur the victim it seems to hold you for like a minute or more. It's all to do with human reaction to situation. Binding them makes you feel "safe" so you system relaxes meaning your reactions etc slow Being binded makes your "fight or flight" system kick in so everything seems to go slower and u can perform tasks much more quicklymaking it seem to take longer Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Peronix
It's because it counts the 3 seconds the bind animation takes. In total it holds the opponent for 5 seconds, but unfortunately you can't start casting other spells until the animation is finished. Consequently, it's not a very effective tool for mages. It's really good for clan pking though; people almost always run from clans, and binds are essential so that the melee attackers can catch up to the runner. manaleak
All bind spell count at the moment that you cast it; just like how xp is determined before you see your hit land. The bind animation is particularly long so that's why after that, you only have 2 seconds to attack. Definitely NOT a good tool to use in f2p as it costs over 500gp to cast it and has little to no effect in solo pking (even in team pking the share that you get from a pk spread across all the binds you've cast, you'll break even at best.) T. Skill
Do you use a blast spell with your binds? If you use a bind spell after you successfully bind your opponent the bind "breaks" from the force of the blast spell. Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

If you use a bind spell after you successfully bind your opponent the bind "breaks" from the force of the blast spell. Yeah I do use blast spells. Indeed I noticed that they can move after, but still without blastspells I think the bind breakes pretty early. I am not lagging, seriously. go_falcons92
as soon as you cast the spell the 5 seconds start. And it takes like 3 seconds for the spell to hit a guy so you have like 2 seconds.

I_Fly_High_G
Like alot of people already said.. The animation takes up 3/5 seconds. Not very good considering it takes more than 2 seconds for the mage to cast another spell and the victim will be running by then. 99 Crafting acheived 31/01/0899 Strength acheived 17/12/
