Xeones
After getting all requirements, how long would all quests take me? Only serious ones I have done are Monkey Madness and will have Desert Treasure. Surely less than a 99 skill, right?
blakdragon39
Sorry, I can't really give you a serious estimate in time, it really depends on how many you've done already, and how long per day you'll play. But I can tell you it won't take nearly as long as a 99 :P.
RoswellCrash
You could them all in under 2 weeks if you played a lot, if you had all the levels needed which I can see you don't you'll need to achieve a 1300+ total level to be able to complete them all. 80% only take 30mins to an hour, without a guide. - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
Master_Smither
The minor quests take 30 minutes-1 hour and the major ones take 2 hours+. Enjoy So acouple weeks depending on how long you play. But I suggest a skill that you enjoy to get a cape in. Xeones
Thanks all. I decided before to get 99 Fishing and Cooking because I'd love to get my own food, but after finding out that it takes upwards of 750 hours, I simply said HELL NO. Quest cape is next best thing, seems like it'll be fun, not repetetive. I play 1-2 hours a day, BTW.
geesch
well, each quest takes anywhere from 1-4 hours. so theres a lot of hours to go in there and i think that in the time it takes to do all quests, you could get a couple or few 99's. cooking, fletching, and possibly fm could probably all be accomplished in that time or close to it. completing all quests does take a lot of time, but it is worth it. good luck :)

I don't care which one, all I really want is the cape. Which would be faster? Fletching cape trimmed would be awesome. Which is faster?
AlexDT
I did some thinkin' on this a while ago, after reading a RSOF thread undervaluing quest capes. In total, the prerequisite stats add up to about 7m exp. Those are the bare minimum. However, you need 85 combat for Dream mentor, so that's another 3m+ exp. Those prereqs also include things like farming and herblore, so they're not easy to get. Then the quests. Even the shorter ones add up, and with quests like MEP.2, One Small Favour and so forth, it's a considerable amount of time to get them all done. It's really difficult to work out exactly how long though, but it would easily be well over 30 hours. I think. Edit: well, each quest takes anywhere from 1-4 hours. so theres a lot of hours to go in there and i think that in the time it takes to do all quests, you could get a couple or few 99's. cooking, fletching, and possibly fm could probably all be accomplished in that time or close to it. completing all quests does take a lot of time, but it is worth it. good luck :) OK, let me ask you something: Should I aim for a Quest Cape or for 99 Fletching and Cooking? I don't care which one, all I really want is the cape. Which would be faster? Fletching cape trimmed would be awesome. Which is faster? A cooking cape would take far less time. Even fletching would be easier, in my opinion. It depends, however, on whether you want to have fun getting the cape, or doing something over and over. Which is faster? as pointed out, there is a bare minimum of 10m exp needed just to be able to do the quests, let alone actually doing them. faster would be cooking and fletching. cooking will eat a couple mil, and fletch will make it back while also getting you a trimmed cape with a prayer bonus. i would go for all 3 :) good luck
crow
Let me put it this way: I do have the questcape and I don't have a 99skill (quests aren't so boring)
Xeones
Well... 99 Fletching and Cooking would get me a trimmed Fletching skillcape plus it would take a looong time. I'm going to get 175 Quest Points for RFD anyway, so I might as well get a Quest Cape, right? Two questions that need to be answered: How long does 99 Fletching and Cooking take? How long does 247 Quest Points take? If the first is like 400 and the second is 100, I'm definitely going for the second. But if it gets close, probably the first one. 99 Fletching would also help in making Yew Longbows for me to High Alch.
Green_Orchid
Personally I think it's impossible to say how long getting a quest cape will take. You arent going to do them all without a hitch, one infuriated me to the point that I quit for about 6 months. And getting a cape isnt all that exciting honest, I hardly ever wear mine, it makes me look fat. Quest cape is probably the least boring cape to get though, not monotonous at all, like skilling is. wioneo
What quest has the highest herblore/farming requirements? Is it FT part II? I personally think that the hardest part about doing quests is getting the levels to start them. You could probably get 99 fletching before you got 50 or however much the farming requirement was. Then again, if you only play 2 hours a day, you could probably do farming faster because it will continue while you're logged off. I doubt that I've trained fletching for up to 6 hours and I'm at 75 fletching, I think. Again, Starting at 175 Quest Points, would it be faster to get Quest Cape or would it be faster to get 99 Hunter/Fletching or 99 Cooking/Fletching or 99 Hunter/Cooking or 99 Fletching/Firemaking or WHATEVER pair of easy 99s for a trimmed skillcape? meol
I'd say that even if you are willing to burn cash, 2 99's are much, much slower to get than a Quest Cape, especially if you start at 175 qp. Xeones
I know, but as long as it'll take me less time, money, and boredom, I'm willing to do it.
