Fudgy999 Posted September 22, 2007 Share Posted September 22, 2007 Since the release of the Runescape clan chat, I've noticed *A LOT* of people using it to discuss various things in game. What puzzles me is why lots of people have taken a sudden interest in it and not used the Official Tip.it Chat which as been around a lot longer. In my opinion the official tip.it chat is a lot better as the tip.it staff control it and so it is moderated a lot more and a generally nicer place to be. I've been using it myself for around 9 months now, the channels offered me support, help, advice and even some good entertainment in the times. Its kind of our own little community in that channel. We even have our own cool lil stat keeper that records how much we talk ect: Daily Stats Long Term Stats http://www.kubr.net/ircstats/runescape Also, too make Runescape even easier to play, we have a bot called "Runescript" that helps us in various ways such as stats lookups, item prices and various other tools :D Some Basic Runescript Commands: !defname RSN - Sets your runescape nick with the bot !stats - Shows stats !stats NICK - Shows the stats of that nick !cmb - Shows your combat stats !price ITEM - does a price look-up for a item. !calc - A Calculator A full list of commands can be seen Here Of course, with all forums and chats, we have very funny times and what better way to record them, then with using our own quote bot :D Still not convinced? It is a great place to hang around, even if you aren't playing Runescape. Many of the staff reside in the chat, though some of us might be idle :-w Speaking of idle, join #idle in the chat and see if you can take on some of the regulars in idlerpg. Some people do tend to believe that an IRC chat is not safe, which is akward as a lot of people use it. You will not regret it, if you join our IRC chat. If you use the java chat link, located at the top of this page you wont have to download anything. You will automatically join the room as long as you are logged into your tip.it account. Simply click the "chat" link up the top of your screen under the welcome to Forum.Tip.it thing... or go to http://www.tip.it/runescape and click on the chat link.
