JamieMcMe Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 Hi! I am planning on getting a combat 99 as my first 99. And I'm wondering which one to get. One of my 2 favoured combat stats. Defence or HP. This is where you help! Remember this cape will be untrimmed, so I want to know the un - commonness of each cape. And if it would be useful? I was planning on tank ranging, would 99 defence help while tank ranging? I know HP is useful for withstanding more hits. Are there any more uses for the skills I have left out? Any help would be fabulous! And I'd be getting 70 attack first for a whip. And maybe 55 slayer to camp out at dusties. Thanks for any help! -Jamie Sig by me :D1337 total as of 3/2/08 at 14 : 52 GMT. Yagami Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 Unfortunately, To kill Dust Devils you will require a minimum of 65 Slayer, unless you use Wild Pies of course which can temperaraly raise your slayer level, but 55 slayer won't jump to 65 with one of those I'm afraid. I'd suggest getting 99 Defence, It's a very nice looking cape, With the trim or without, Getting 99 Hitpoints can be annoying, and also, my personal opinion: Untrimmed Hitpoints cape looks tacky, And if you're going to be a "Range Tank" with your 99 Defence, you'll end up getting 99 Hitpoints anyway. Just get Defence, I would if I was in your shoes. ~ Vinta I would like to get the most difficult 99 in the game to accomplish. which is woodcutting. because I had a drunken night in philadelphia and sprayed a fire extinguiser, evacuated a 7 story hotel on the philly stadium, spent the night in jail.. then got on level 2 prob & have to pay 50 a month because I have a job. davidium Posted September 24, 2007 Share Posted September 24, 2007 99 def should protect you better than 99 hp most definitely...i know some ppl say def is all [cabbage] and stuff but ive 99 def and can assure you that 99 def is under-rated. 99hp would be hard to get really...by the time you get 99 hp you would either have at least one other 99 combat skill or all your combat skills would be rather close to 99. maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I suggest this because most of your combat stats will be 98 at this point, so the other 99s will seem fun. :roll: I myself am working on 99 HP at 99 combat, so I am biased.
