Powerleveling Mining

So, for a LVL 3 P2P Skiller, what is the best ore to mine to gain levels and where to mine them?

 

 

 

Current level is 85, aiming for 90+.

Not me, personally; for a friend. He has been 'gone' for the last 1-2 years so he wasn't sure if any new methods have come out.

I know you can do the quests for the dig site but you can always do iron. THe tip to powermining is to mine one and quickly drop another one just as you finish mining the first one. Then when you mine the next rock you drop the ore from the first rock. Do it in busy worlds for fast respawns.

And go to the V shaped Iron rocks and mine drop mine drop or get 3 drop 3.

Yea, go with iron, but a lot of people go to al kharid. if you can't find an empty world after try a few others, run to southeast varrok mines, and try using the 4 iron rocks there. although you have to run around, and you steal iron away from newbs, you don't have that much competition.

I think theres a spot in the piscatoris mining area (near the fishing colony) with 3 iron ores in a triangle, the only spot like that other than the one in al kharid. Except theres no competition there.

Now, you need to have completed Death to the Dorgeshuun to do this, but this way is pretty good.

 

 

 

At the entrance to the city, there are iron ore rocks. When you gte a full inventory, talk to a goblin...i forget the name...and you can sell all of the ores. I dont remember if you sell all at once or one at a time though :wall: , but it's worth a try. i mean, why not make money powerleveling? :thumbsup:

naaaaaaaaaaaaaa... best places for iron is the mine by trawler just north of Yanille... my opinion is the best.. good if you want to bank too:)

iron - explained by others

 

 

 

granite - bring waterskins (5 will do), a pass, money, tons of runes to cast "humidify" spells so that you can stay there forever. take carpet to the Quarry where you can mine granites. Then start power mining

 

 

 

p.s. that place was changed in the way that waterskins are vital to survival. GRAB them and bring them before you find yourself back in Lumbridge

 

 

 

p.s.s. waterskins can be refilled using lunar magic "humidify" spell

Tell your mate to allways pick the world with most people on. If he is 85 or above I wud suggest him to powermine in F2p world (like world 1), since most people in f2p only powermines to get 85 mining.

 

 

 

When you have mined all 3 rocks drop them fast and then mine 3 and drop them again, this is by far the best way to powermine.

I like south of Varrock. Its faster to bank at west bank then to drop. That way you get the iron for smelting or selling.

Go To Varrock ,lots of People havent noticed the fact that he's a LVL 3 SKILLER!!The Al-kharid scorps will kill him.There might be a better place in mems for powering, but im f2p right now.

How is that easier? With my way, when you press "drop" you just right click and then press "drop", the only movement you do with your mouse is when you right clicked, not from ore to ore. - hard to explain.

 

 

 

And ya sry I did not think of that..

 

He could mine in the Dorgeshuun Mines, but then he would have to atleast start Lost Tribe. There are 3 iron stones too.

 

Also The Fremennik Mine - not sure if the stones are next to each other like in AK.

you are far better off having a large number (20) with you. This means less humidifies, and less time wasted overall.

I have a question related to this one:

 

 

 

how many xp would be generated ea hour if power mining iron on average? (i am lvl 76 mining atm)

Lol. As I said Varrock is good since you get to keep ores and not get killed by Scorpions.

 

 

 

New powermining spot I found (which is already well-known) is after the Lost Tribe quest not Death of Dorgeshuun. There are many iron ores, but no "v"s only twos. The goblin from the quest buys the iron ore(the whole inventory) for a little cash which is faster then dropping as well.

 

 

 

As you can see I don't like the dropping method. I did it for about 15 lvls and it drove me crazy. Varrock and here are much more reasonable.
