Zaaps1 Posted October 31, 2007 Share Posted October 31, 2007 Weeellll, what are you training on? If it has realtively low hitpoints, I'd go for battleaxe or maybe even r2h. But the best place is Giant Spiders in the Stronghold, in which case bring along a rune scim. Whenever you think you should use a Rune Long, use a scim. ~It's Super Effective! Overall you would usually cause more damage with the long than with the baxe. Goals achieved: lvl 99 Cooking, Fishing and Fletching.Surrey CC and Liverpool FC fan for life! Doomster Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 I've B-axed, it's slow as hell, only a little faster than the R2H. PvM, it's not too bad against anything you can take down without eating, but the low speed makes time lost eating even more critical. The Scimmy, the most powerful fast weapon, excels in damage output on all but the toughest of opponents. If you can't be bothered with trade worlds, the rune long is the best weapon you can buy "off the shelf", with a speed disadvantage and power advantage over the Scimmy. If you train controlled, then do not use the Scimmy, as its controlled (stab) attack is rubbish, the long wins hands down in controlled. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
