curmudgeony
Does anyone have suggestions on monsters with very low range def? Drops aren't an issue, merely speed of kills. Hellhounds, Fire Giants, Ogres, Blue Dragons, Jogres, and Giant Frogs have been mentioned, anyone have a favorite among them?
Lord Diddy
Fire giants are my personal favorite, they have very low defense and rather nice drops.
RazorAce
Fire Giants for me, but if you have high range you can make lots of money off blues. http://s9.invisionfree.com/pec <--Best clan ever.

phata_elise
Does anyone have suggestions on monsters with very low range def? Drops aren't an issue, merely speed of kills. Hellhounds, Fire Giants, Ogres, Blue Dragons, Jogres, and Giant Frogs have been mentioned, anyone have a favorite among them? drop the blue dragons from that list. They have a medium range def lvl, but more important, they are slow to kill. Blue dragons are about drops only. I suggest one of the first three monsters on your list. All three have good kllling zones. You could also look for some slayer monster like bloodvelds.

Star_Fox
anything low to melee is equivalent to range i suppose. i suggest some slayer monsters like jellies and bloodvelds.
Lunar_Drifter
Bloodvelds at GWD. They have super low Range Defense and have 138 HP, more than even a Blue Dragon! They're great for ranging. Plus, they drop Rune Meds every now and then, as well as Bloods and Fires fairly often. Also, while you're down there, range up some Vampires. They have more HP than their above-ground counterparts, and drop a fair amount of high level herb seeds. Don't worry, just bring along a Zammy item (God Cape or Book probably) and you'll be safe as long as you stay in the Zammy section of the main area. There's safespots aplenty! inoskedyou
when i was lvl 55 range i went with Blue Dragons. I met alot of cool ppl there and made lots of money off the hides and great prayer exp.
Dexek
Fire Giants are my favourite by far. Great drops, great xp, low range def, and they only max 11s. It is quite nice when a monster drops lobsters as well. Hope to see you there. Nopheo
I say either Hellhounds or fire giants. Hell hounds would be less banking so faster exp plus you get to lottery with lvl3 clues for a chance of major cash but not lots of pointless drops. Cryptogram
If the combat triangle thing applies to NPCs as well, you may want to try mage-based targets. Fire giants are the business imho.
