Lately (the past few months), I havn't enjoyed runescape. Whenever I go on I feel like I have to get something big accomplished, something that requires a lot of time, effort, focus. It seems every time I log in I'm just set to that, and I can't have a good time. Which got me thinking, why're we playing the game?

 

 

 

 

 

At first runescape was for fun, you got home, played with your friends, had a really good time. Now it's more like torture. Every time I get on it's all about goals, setting goals, working hard (not have a good time) to achieve it. It's become too much for me.

 

 

 

 

 

Home today I realized what this was doing to me. I was pretty stressed, and as much as I tried not to show it in clan chat, forums, and in general chat, I was really having a hard time. Some of you may have noticed this, and until recently, I hadn't noticed. Until today.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, the bottom line is. I'm not quitting Runescape. Rather, i'm quitting this huge weight on me to get everything done, to raise my stats to 99, to get that hard thing accomplished. From now on, i'll be playing runescape for purely fun.

 

 

 

 

 

If it means i'll be KQing solo, my heart racing, and having a great time. I'm doing it. If it means spending 20m on a sword to try it out and sell it for 19.5m, i'm doing it.

 

 

 

This could be considered a turning point in my RS "career", and I hope that this will save me runescape life. Prior to this, I was on the brink of quitting. I wasn't having a good time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So all of you will probably expect me out at a lot more of the clan events. I'll be out there DKing, KQing, monster hunting and more.!

So you just decide to sell everything and skill for a long time? Or what happened to make you decide to basically demolish your entire bank?

 

 

 

And its like I agree with you not having abunch of junk, but i mean I love my bank all full of random junk and having 3 triangle sandwhiches and bunches of mystery boxes and etc. But GAH it's like your and f2p person living in a p2p world. :-k

I was low on money, and I kinda that I wanted to sit down and work on certain skills at a time. So I started out with farming, sold everything except for my farming materials. I do this for whatever skill I want to train next. It also let's me focus on my task without the distraction of other items in my bank, and other skills. And yes I know what you mean by having random junk, but I prefer organization.

Yes, but most threads are like that, and I like to bring something new, and interesting. People DO get bored of seeing the same style over and over :P
