and as it get further away, you put no detail into anything.

yeah, I know, I started out really good with the face, then I kinda rushed the background :? .

 

 

 

First time trying to make a pine tree bark, really hard apearantly >.< .

 

I should work on my grass too. I liked the path though, but thats probably just me.

 

 

 

Critism can never be too harsh, I know Ive made far better pieces. But I really wanted to just get it over with. After all its a hobby, I don't earn anything from it and its my own free time. If it starts lacking fun, then there isnt really a reason to continiue working on it with full detail.

The ONLY thing i'd say would need work is the tree's at the moment, you're sort of going for a simplistic background and it's pretty good, just the trees ruin it :(

I love the background -- it has a cool fresh style and some nice shading. Granted, the trees are a bit strange and distracting... But otherwise good.

 

 

 

The foreground (face) needs a bit of work. You've got most of it down right, but it's a bit flat and needs more midtones. You should soften (anti-alias) your lines, especially the ones around the chin. Also, those eyes are massive.

Its great but has a lot of great potential. Id say you should turn it into a WIP rather than a completed sig.

Aye, if I used more midtones, the face would come out very, very old. It took me 1 hour to make the face and 4 hours of constant refining to get it right. You are probably right about the anti-aliasing though :oops: . Never really do that.

 

 

 

Oh, and the pink text and bored arent really my choice either, but the girl I made it for likes those colours. So not much say in that.

I like the grass. the bark looks wierd though... and the shadow of the person is off too. but over all, VERY VERY NICE.

I like the face and the path and the effect the sun has in the far distant sky. Tree bark is a bit wierd but i like the rest :D
