Well actually, it's my personal Ventrilo server but I've decided to help out the good 'ol Tip.It Community.

What is Ventrilo?

Ventrilo 2.3.0 is the next evolutionary step of Voice over IP (VoIP) group communications software. Ventrilo is also the industry standard by which all others measure themselves as they attempt to imitate its features.

 

 

 

By offering surround sound positioning and special sound effects on a per user, per channel, per server or global configuration level the program provides each user the option to fully customize exactly how they wish to hear sounds from other users or events.

 

 

 

Ventrilo is best known for it's superior sound quality and minimal use of CPU resources so as not to interfere with day to day operations of the computer or during online game competitions. It is also preferred for the simple user interface that any first time computer user can very quickly learn because the most commonly used features are immediately visible and can be activated with a single click of the mouse.

Are these to be used only during tip it events or can people actualy get on these to play together, amongst other things?

Sure thing. The TypeFrag (Server I use) control panel is down at the moment, but I'll be happy to add it once I can.

Btw, if you need any help with ventrilo or co-hosting or financial help with it id be happy to help. Ive had 3 ventrilo servces to date, 1 for my wow guild, 1 for vanguard guild and 1 for the best ever hawtness dota :)

Actually, if anyone has trouble with their microphones or need tech support, would you mind helping them? I'll create a Tech Support channel when I can...that'd be most appreciated.

Yup, not a problem I can do that easily.

 

 

 

Which codec does the server use? As you know, macintosh users have a great deal of trouble with vent :( and it only works with 1 codec for them.

 

 

 

Microphone setup can be very troublesome, be it on vista or XP, but if anybody has trouble with it just let me know ill go over it with you and help you get it working.

Well, I thought I'd come make a appearance, but it appears rather...well....empty :o

I see you on it hehe, but im at work no mic or speakers. Give it some time, it just went up an hour ago!

 

 

 

I cant wait to get home and tell my friends to get on vent so that i dont have to talk to them though runescape (which is very distracting when trying to do something lol)

I can setup a music channel to loop thoguh my music collection while at work if someone wants to listen to music while playing rs it can be arranged :)

 

 

 

It wont be a dedicated music server though because I use my machine when I get home :)
