You need to change the server name to denote that this is an UNOFFICIAL Tip.It Ventrilo server since there will never be an official one.

I assure you that will never happen. It's been tried before and it doesn't work, it can't be properly moderated, so you need to change the name. If there even ever was a TIF Ventrilo, then it would be hosted/rented by TIF as well.

 

 

 

I'm not saying you would, but it's for two simple reasons. The first is as I said, it can't be properly content moderated, there's no filter for spoken like there is for text. Someone could come in and shout something and seriously offend someone or multiple people, that comment can't be undone whereas on a forum there's at least a chance it would have been filtered.

 

 

 

Secondly, and I'm not saying you would, but Tip.It will never brand anything Officially that they don't have full control over (ie. rent/buy themselves), because if a member owns it, they could take full control and do things "in the name of" Tip.It which could give a lot of bad publicity depending on circumstances.

Yeah, it's pretty fun. And it's definatly the "unofficial" server, so all of that talk can just be completed.

 

 

 

You can even listen without necessarily having a microphone too!

Getting a mike for xmas! I've been watching this thread for a while, I will be quite happy to finnaly be able to use vent - i will be able to chat&alch at the same time!

 

BTW, anyone got any recomendations for a mike? I have a labtop, and use it everywhere, like under sheets, and stuff - only occasionaly on a desk. 150$- range.

Very excited to finally see someone with this, I personally rent a teamspeak server but i also use vent alot.

 

 

 

Also was wierded out because i joined the vent server before i read alot of these replies and saw ego scorpion in there and thought it was an imposter and much to my surprise i look to see him playing rs again
