strike-out tag

Featured Replies

It would be nice if there was a tag that we can use to strike out text. The advantage of this is that we can mark content that is no longer relevant but is worth saving.

This is also useful for marketplace posts, where users can mark off old prices and sold items.

Sounds like a tool that you wouldn't necessarily miss but something people would use often enough if it was there.

This is available in Proboards. I think it would make an awesome addition.

Unoriginal, but still, an amazing idea. I love it! :D

Why not just edit and change prices/remove old items from the list?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Or, you could just mark the changed items with a grey color and note that any grey item has been sold/removed/whatever. I do that all time when making edits to news posts and bug reports without much trouble.

I'm guessing dramatic effect? Looks a lot better if you have $6.99 struck out, and next to it in red have $5.00, eh?

Would be a cool little feature to have.

Funnily enough I wanted to use this feature today in a post.

So I'm for introducing it!

I'd love it, it would allow sarcasm to get through better. And that's one thing that needs to be added in off-topic. >.>

That's what's gotten me banned and nearly banned in the past. I'd warn you to stay as far away from this dreaded 'sarcasm' as possible.

But to back up your point it does help with getting your point across as you've alluded to.
