Merchanting's gone. Dead. Theres a set price range. There a frickin button to set it to the minimum price for god sakes. How many arents gonna set it to that?

i found it kinda hard to merchant through the big ole' GE. Yes it's convinient but you could probably find a better deal the ol fashioned way... therefore merchanting has not died or is going to die. And as nice as it is for JaGex to make it easier for us they will in no way stop you from normal trading... And if they do.... :ohnoes:

Merchants will always be there. I have found effective ways to make 500k in 10 mins just from merchanting from player to the GE. This is effectively a filter which separates the noobs from the pros. \

personally, merchant's always annoyed me. i buy something, only to find that the price is significantly cheaper on the forums.

Merchanting will decrease because of the noobs who have no merchanting skills whatsoever and cant make a dime off merchanting cause of the grand exchange. However good merchans will still exists. If you know what you're doing you can make a lot of money very fast no matter what the profit margin is. The majority of merchanters are noobs and cant adapt to the new system.

well...for now it appears that merchanting is temporarily dead...

 

with the prices on MOST player made items falling by 5% per day there is no way to merchant as a f2p atm.

 

 

 

Merchanting will be just as easy as it was be4 when this whole thing blows over and prices stabalize..which they will..probably in arround 10-12days,considering the prices on player made items will have fallen by up to 50%. Then ppl will buy up all the items they had be4 and still ahve lots of $$ left over, thus inflation will fix the slump in item prices.

I can still merchant easily with the Great Exchange. + Now I can skill at the same time!

Merchanting rune scimitars is still possible and all the other rune items are still possible because "you" as a "merchant" are providing the convience by saving them a trip to the "Grand Exchange."

 

 

 

I began merchanting rune scimitars the day the "Grand Exchange" came out and began with 80k and as of now I have profited close to 700k. This course happened because I needed to gain back the 1100k+ I lost on the currently crashing Nature runes.

 

 

 

Not only is merchanting not dead, but we are still providing the same things we did before and that thing is ""convience."
