November 29, 200718 yr Hi this is my first guide so please give advice etc. I will try to include pics etc. Sorry if this has been posted before - I havn't seen it if it has. Edits: -Added Pouches section -Changed pic of armour (thanks brainymidget!) Contents: 1. Introduction 2. Requiremtns 3. What to do 4. Advanced info (if you really want to do it quickly) 5. Statistics 6. Pouches 1. Introduction: OK this is a guide on how to mine rune essence using the Yanille bank - magic guild. This is the quickest way to get pure essence in the game. However people waste so much time doing it wrong! 2. Requirements: 66 magic Rune mysteries quest completed A pickaxe Runescape membership Preferable boots of lightness, penance gloves and spottier cape Preferable pouch of every size (or as many as you have) 3. What to do: So the first thing you'll need to do is to get to yanille. You could teleport to Ardogene and walk south, or use a dueling ring and walk East. Once you are there go to the bank. This is what your armour interface should look like (if you don't have them all use as many of these items as possible): Map of the local area and a route. 4. Advanced info: [hide=Advanced stuff]Ok this is where it gets complicated. Set the button thingy to 'Run'. Click next to the magic guild doors on the minimap. Before you get there right click on the doors. Before you enter right click on the guy who teleports you. Just as you enter select 'Teleport'. Click on the nearest rune essence mine. As soon as you can right click on the portal AND TURN THE MINIMAP SO THAT EAST IS UP. The moment you see the last essence pop into your inventory, click on use portal. DON'T wait for the message to come up. Exit through the door straight ahead. The moment you exit click on the bank in the minimap. Before you get there select 'Bank Banker' Deposit the essence, rinse and repeat. This might take a few times before you are fluent but practise and it will be easy as... pie[/hide] 5. Statistics At 57 mining I'll mine for 15 minutes and then work out the following: Money:time Essence:time Exp:time Money:Time 23.1k : 15 mins Essence:Time 231 : 15 mins Exp:Time 7730 : 15 mins 6. Pouches I've never tried pouches, however I've researched them alot and thought they deserved a mention. They are dropped by creatures in the Abyss and come in four different sizes (note first you must have completed the zamorok mage mini-quest): Small - Holds 3 essence Medium - Holds 6 essence Large - Holds 9 essence Giant - Holds 12 essence You can, however, only have one of each type of pouch in your inventory. So in total you can hold 26 extra essence! That's almost a whole inventory! This is definately worthwhile. After a while these 'degrade' and can hold less essence. At this point the zamorok mage can repair them for you. Smallest pouches don't degrade at all - they always carry three ess. When my large pouch degrades, I use that as an excuse to go and craft some deaths while I get the pouch fixed. This also breaks up the monotony on a very regular basis. This is a good idea - give yourself a little break when they degrade. Of course if you can't craft a particular rune etc. you can just do other things (get a bit of PKing in etc.) Thanks for reading!!! I hope you enjoyed it! Comment, rate, whatever. Constructive criticism please? December 1, 200718 yr Very nice, I always just thought it was fastest in varrock, but seeing how I have all the requirements, I might try this sometime, btw, very nice picture but you might have been able to go to runehq and used their equipment stats calculator to find the weight instead of editing it yourself. 10/10, very nice
December 1, 200718 yr Author thank you all! i'll do a little research on pouches and will update the guide if, after i've tried it, it's quicker. This is going down so well! ^Please visit^Retired
December 1, 200718 yr Author Ok done. A pouches section is there. Any updates on it etc. just say. ^Please visit^Retired
December 1, 200718 yr Just so ya know, the weight for that is -11 not -14, and heres a picture you can use for it.

December 1, 200718 yr Oki guide, but it is common sense to use pouches, minimize weight, and use the closest possible route Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?
December 1, 200718 yr Author yes but, from experience, i know that people don't follow common sence (some people wear full sets of armour) ^Please visit^Retired
December 1, 200718 yr Author and i thought i was doing so well with posts... 5 hrs 20 mins... no posts ^Please visit^Retired
December 3, 200718 yr Good shout with the pouches... never really thought of that myself. Getting them repaired is a pain though.
