December 13, 200718 yr If they look at IPs, it really easy to see when someone other than you logs into it, especially when it's halfway around the world. Even with proxies, you can only do so much.
December 13, 200718 yr Well, considering there are now 3 topics on this matter, it won't be long before RWTers pick up the idea from here...

December 13, 200718 yr Well, considering there are now 3 topics on this matter, it won't be long before RWTers pick up the idea from here...lol i doubt they will Don't worry, they already have it. Yeah...Some people just go out of their way to ruin other peoples fun.Sounds like Jagex to me...
December 13, 200718 yr This has already been posted twice here today, and plenty of other times on other forums I've visited. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=723888 Rest assured that Jagex are well aware of this form of cheating. They have very reliable ways of tracking IPs and if too many accounts are coming from one IP, they'll investigate, along with character IPs that fluctuate too often. I'm sure there's lots of other methods they won't tell us about as well. IP banning and tracking is less reactive and won't be too prevailant. In addition to this, giving someone who steals credit cards your personal login information is just plain dumb.

December 14, 200718 yr I believe that Jagex have got rid off the most of the RWTs with the recent updates, but of course there are a few left. And of these some are those who sell the service of training someone elses account for real cash. But I'm sure of that Jagex are doing their best to ban these accounts too. Why is everyone so negative? Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
December 14, 200718 yr This is not a new thing, It has been going on for awhile. I joined a Diablo 2 trading website, that has a runescape section, that has that kind of thing going all the time. Far from new.D2jsp ftw. :D
December 14, 200718 yr They say they will level your slayer skill from 1 - 90 in appr. 60hrs. They also charge $1,012 to do it. I don't think the hours sound right? But I would believe the price.

But these cheats will STILL screw the economy, hog useful training spots, load worlds, behave dishonestly, and make honest players suffer the "anti-cheat" random events and other crap we have to... It's just we won't be able to tell them from the human players, and so think there are just more honest competition and not even realize we are being unfairly competed by bots/farmers. Will you feel better being screwed as long as you don't see the actual person who's doing that? I wouldn't. i have to say i agree that they are annoying, but what u don't know can't hurt you, so maybe if you're reading this right now, well playing rs, the person next to u a a rwt. P.S. This is not new, one of my friends does it a lot(he's super rich(over i million can. $)), so i know it's not new, and all he does is get banned, buy a new account, get banned for rwt, and over and over again.

December 15, 200718 yr lol this has already been happening for years my friend....except for RS GP instead. how do i know? because i am a member of a lot of clan communities (a high up member) and see what goes on behind the scenes. rich players let poorer players on their account to train it...and then pay them their respective gold. example: fire capes, barrows gloves, alching, quests. it's actually kind of funny how naive the tip.it community is to the cheating that goes on  ...when i mentioned people paying for fire capes on here people were like "what? who does that? proof?" btw...anyone saying "oh they'll just ban them big deal blah blah blah"...uh what do you think they do now? kids who buy gold get insta-banned in 24 hours or less. i know people who sell to the companies and it's literally a race to sell as much as you can before getting banned.

But It would be a massive pain. You would have to get details from the buyer on were his location is and get a proxy server in that particular area. Very unlikely to happen. You would need vast resources to get this to work on a world scale. Its just 99.99% unlikely that they would use that method as cover. 21 lag piles, 4 Pjs, 2 Party hat kills, 67 newbs teached.

December 15, 200718 yr Get a [bleep] job. (to the people that get paid for leveling account) I felt this way too, but I knew I was ignorant on gold farming. So I did a little research one evening. Wikipedia has a great article on it and search youtube for "chinese gold farmers." Then you will realize that there is an entire industry built around serviceing "rich boys" with entirely too much time on their hands. edit: i had to change the url to get it right replace ( with &28 replace ) with &29 Of course the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you--if you don't play, you can't win. - The sayings of Lazarus Long Robert A. Heinlein
