So, can you kind people suggest mage or range armour more powerfull then the ones I have, and tell me the stat differences, and prices? Thanks. About the barrows, I'm not tottaly opposed to it, but, how much will it cost to reacharge it at level 70 smithing? Armadyl costs way more than Guthans, forget it. It will be 70% cheaper than Bob charges you. ultimatballr Posted December 21, 2007 Share Posted December 21, 2007 I'll break it down to the best of my knowledge for you. Hope this is helpful. Range Black dragon hide is your best bet. Ranger helm and snakeskin boots are the best for their price. Paying 6.5m for a ranger set that gives about +3 more range bonus is obserd. If you want to go monster killing, however, using karils is the best for the additional defence bonus. That's about it for range. Armadyl is rediculously priced and pretty much only for show.. Not for use. I mean noone that's not tryin to show their butt would wear full armadyl somewhere they have a chance to die and lose it.. Not worth it. Mage I would say get ahrims.. 1 the mage att + defence bonus' are better than mystic. Plus it looks a hell of a lot better than mystic. Its that simple for mage. ---------- As for prices. Armadyl is in the range of 40-50m for full... yea rediculous. Ahrims is about 1.5m for full no staff. (That was about a month and a half ago though) it may have gone up like a lot of the other barrows armors.. I'd say ahrims looks better and it's also good on dragons My pure (wildy is dead) have just got 20 def, when i get member i will mostlikely get 70 def for karils coif, black d'hide body and black d'hide chaps (dont forget vambs and snake skin boots) cause the mage def are kinda nice and it looks nice. How about getting Ahrim top, bottom, farseers helmet, glory/mage ammy, infinity boots and some kind of mystic gloves + god cape, thats a really good mage bonus gear. catastrophe Posted December 21, 2007 Share Posted December 21, 2007 for range unless u like how it looks or u actually need the extra mage def, blk d hide is as good as its going to get. for mage ah a good choice and its pretty cheap. as for how much ull get off with smithing lvls its ur lvl divided 2. so lvl 70 would be 35% off. this is only for repairing the armor at a POH not at bobs. I now know that I will buy ahrims, and and am only debating between the farseer helm, and the hood - 14+ defense bonus, and no -15 atk bonuses, and no -3 range atk bonus... I'm not sure if that makes it worth that much more money.(how much, please) Oh, and if you use ahrims hood while doing barrows, I will definitely change. The only gloves to ever wear are the barrows gloves, I have no clue why someone said mystic gloves. About the boots, I'm not sure what to do. For 1+, I can upgrade mystic boots to wizard boots, costing 200k. For 2+, I can upgrade mystic boots to infinity boots - costing (I have no clue how much) Alot. Buying a seers ring seems like it might be worth it. 4+ mage atk bonus is nice - and I'm not convinced the wealth I always wear now is good. How much does it cost? Are there any alternatives to it? And, finnaly, (for mage) - what shield do I want to wear? I have all three god books, (completed) BUt I also have some mind shields, which should I wear? Oups, Did I say I was done with mage? 1 think left. What staff whould I use? Just what staff! Onto range, that is pretty straightforward. I will keep my d hide, ranger helm, the accumulator, and snakeskin boots. Just one thing here - do I want to get an archers ring? 4+ is rather nnice, but yet again, is sacrificing the wealth worth it? And how much does the archers ring cost? Thanks... Ahrims hood'll run you 250-300k. Archer ring is 1.2-1.4M. Seer's ring is 350-400k. A lunar ring is half as good, and its free!
