Smoothed out the lines on the Death Star crater, and rounded out the eclipse. I don't see anything more to be done with it, unless anyone has any suggestions on how to make the lightsaber glow a bit less intense.

Well I have a few things to say....

 

 

 

-Get rid of the black outline

 

-Smooth out the Lightsaber

 

-and fix up you lines

Guy looks strange though (assume it's Luke? /ignorance).

 

Rid the black outlines, and bring his right arm in from the shoulder, it's a bit too broad right now.

I'll go back in there and fix up the lines, I wasn't going to keep the black outline either. But I just got impatient :lol: .

I would work on the Lines of Luke a lot more, then recolor him. As of now, his stance makes him look a little.. zombie-ish.. for the most part, a decent job.

I would edit Luke. Proportion is a bit off, and clean up some of those lines. Also, I'm not quite sure what that gradient shading is on the right side of the Death Star...Light reflection?

Edited Luke a lot. Took out all the black lines, and fixed the lightsaber. It was really wonky before :lol: .

 

 

 

Besides Luke, nothing else touched yet.

Yeah, it's a bit awkward-looking.

I think the side is supposed to be like that.

 

 

 

Like the sun is being revealed around the edge and the glare is distorting it.

Yeah, the right side is like that because the light from the sun behind it is disorting the edge.

The reason there's no corona seen around the other edges is that the Death Star is exaggerated-ly close, so the sun appears much smaller. Therefore it isn't a real eclipse.

 

 

 

Oh, and the other Tatooine sun is completely hidden, in case anyone else is as much of a SW geek as me and was wondering.

Maybe brighten up the area being eclipsed? And the sun isn't as round as it could be, I think. That's what I meant before.

the glow comming from the light saber it to.... solid. needs to be a transparent blue, and it looks like teh wrong shade. V2 alot better

Looks good, just needs a few improvements:

 

 

 

Remove the black outlines from Luke and the "crater" in the Death Star, currently very distracting.

 

 

 

Darken Luke's back a lot, the light is shining on his front only. A darker back with a cast shadow on th ground is more dramatic and effective.

Immensely good for second. Try removing some of those black lines and fix up the lightsaber, make it smooth and give it a glow. Other than that, fix up the eclipse like someone already said and it should be great. Also a little work on anatomy would be good.

You know what is diffrent about "first pixels" and "17th pixels", "107th pixels" ? That if you make first, or second one, you really try to make it as best as it can be. As best as you can do. For example me. In my live I have done really much pixels. And now, when i draw, I dont think "hmm... how to do this better...?". I dont think how to do it better, i think "hmm... its boring, when i will end it :( ". So FIRST AND SECOND pixels are the most beautiful, becouse people do all they can do.

I'll try to fix it up some, but it's Christmas eve so I might not get around to it.

Very nice, I like it a lot. I do think the blue light from the lightsaber is a bit too intense, but other than that, great job. :)

If the Deathstar is covering the sun, shouldn't Luke and the moonthingy he's walking on be covered in shadow?

 

 

 

I'll say seven kittens out of ten.

It's saved as a PNG. And I didn't make any shadows because the entire landscape is one big shadow, hence why it is so dark. There's no light reaching the planet from the eclipsed sun.

 

 

 

Yeah, I should probably work on the glow patch. But right now I'm going to bed.

Along my little grey lines, I would make that part brighter a tad. I think it might look more realistic.

 

 

 

Along the black line, I would make the gradient thingy follow in more of a circle not a dip
