And i was a member once too , and i enjoyed it like i said , but i never showed off in f2p worlds. That is the noobiest thing to do isnt it? I see members do it EVERY day... O_O.... not all members but those wearing flashy armors etc... :)

I think F2P shouldn't get a new skill, as they have got more than their fair share of updates in the past few months. It was a bad idea to give F2P updates in the first place, it's like Cocaine once you've had some you just want more and more...

I don't think Jagex would do it. It would anger many members too much... but you never know. That didn't stop them from the trade + wilderness updates.

 

 

 

Personally, I don't think they would get it, even though they are vital to the game. But it would be pretty cool to see them get at least a new quest, or some of the skill.

 

 

 

And yeah, I'm a member (for only one more day, argh) and I won't play much soon anyway, so I don't care either way if they get it or not. As long as nobody complains to me about it.

Bottom line is F2P shouldn't get updates

^ the one before this one, that is my kind of member. Thats what i am. I support the idea , of f2p getting stuff EVEN if i loose! Why would members be angry though? I dont understand! sure they pay per month , but still , they have SO many other benefits over us! One more skill or quest is all we ask for!

 

 

 

And just to clarify , ive been asking for stuff for f2p since i started playing not after they started giving us updates! Lately they are giving us lots of updates , and i bet you they might just give us a new skill or quest in the next update. I dont need your member opinions...

Well you got one thing right, i am member ( not for much longer ) Personally i don't care about the updates, but of the attitude to them.

 

As i said on my other post it's like Cocaine, people get grabby, demand more, hell why don't we just give them the whole of RuneScape seeing that's the way i is heading.

Well get your eyes checked :) . Because i see a bright future for F2p rune scapers. If someone goes on runescape makes a new account , and leaves. I think there is only one reason , and jagex realized that. Its boring. Nothign to do , only a few quests etc... im not leaving because of the recent updates. If they didnt update i would've left runescape a long time ago. But i stay hoping for that new skill one day. :)

Firesign567, I can see where you are comming from. But if F2P gets too many updates there's not much point of members, It would be neat to get a new quest in F2P but a skill, I don't think so.. F2P has pushed it's luck far enough, and if they don't like it either PAY to be member or go have a cry in the corner. :boohoo:

Well alot of changes in f2p atm. Like the beattle arena. So not that bad.

Thats my point though. You never know what else we will get. Most members are only upset because EVERYONE gets some stat , or something like that. Next thing you know you'll want rune crafting to only be members! Well guess what , there are some stuff in some stats that only members get ,and i find that unfair. But i dont care because i know you are paying! But giving you a complete skill to your self is ubserd! So they give us 1 stat or 1 quest , that doesnt mean members wont get anything else...

F2p recently got the Duel Arena, thats a pretty big "update". I doubt there will be something new.

The only reason I saw to become a member was so I could enjoy the pking system, I was actually going to get members in January believe it or not. But now, I'll stick to non-members. Since they did take away pking I believe they owe us a little something and after that bussiness as usual. And by that I mean 1 yearly update and grafical updates year round. After all we don't really pay anything so we don't deserve massive updates. We'll now I have to think of a way to spend this extra cash I have laying around. PS3 looks good...

Well jagex is doing just fine update or not , and buy that ps3. I hear it uses blue ray : )

You guys get no farmers/autoers, that should be enough...as Jagex is spending money to have F2P, so you all should be greatful, instead of asking for more.

jagex doesnt care about f2p they just care about satisfying their payers and want to convince some other players to pay...

Well im sorry if my parents arent rich and can afford to pay 8.50 a month after all our other expenses to runescape.

 

 

 

There's an easy solution to this problem: get a job. Even flipping burgers will allow you to pay for your Runescape subscription. Then this unnecessary flaming that the people are throwing at you will naturally stop since you won't have the need to ask the age old question of why Jagex won't give free players more updates.

 

 

 

Another solution is to ask your parents to get you a year's subscription instead of the latest gadget like an iPod. Or if your parents give you a weekly/monthly allowance for doing chores around the house, tell them that you want to put your allowance towards your monthly subscription. There are loads of things that you can probably find that can help you pay for your subscription, just don't cheat and steal for it.

You never know, free players might get some of the Summoning skill. Jagex haven't said if it's P2P or F2P yet, so you might get lucky. It'll come with a quest too. Less than a month til you find out...

 

 

 

One question... HOW do F2P keep RS alive? Alive with the power of noobs, maybe, but P2P pay Jagex money to keep RS alive, surely?
