Why are you so afraid of revenants?

Featured Replies

i like fighting them, its much more fun than normal NPC's, to bad they don't drop anything. <.<

They do drop stuff, however rarely. I got 78 coins from the vampire I killed.

They definatley drop stuff..

Jagex introduced them to "replace" normal pkers. So they thought they must have drops aswell. My friend went hunting, and from a knight he managed to suceed in getting an Obsidian Cape. They are also known to drop things like glories, dds's, dragonstones.

Many people also believe they drop whips and GS Hilts. This is mostly a rumour, but no one knows..

not afraid of them easy to evade.

I'm afraid of those monsters because they are very strong and because they can suddenly appear almost anywhere in the Wilderness.

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Supposing Jagex made the revenants weaker on f2p. Wouldn't that just encourage members to hop to f2p worlds to walk through the Wilderness? And, if so, would that be a problem?

Members would lose menbers equipment stats and capabilities, so it would be even (can a member eat a shark on an F2P world?).

My own results with revenants:

1. Steel pure - died several times.

2. Main (level 78 if I recall)

NO deaths, several run south escapes, two driveaways of the revenant (these guys are telenubs as well as safers).

Most annoying, I used to use "monster cover" at mines to avoid PKers (lost that one in another update) and go defensive if white dots were in sight. Now, the first thing you know about a revenant is when that blasted farcast hits.

Biggest annoyance, they hit like a pure in any combat style and defend like a tank, with greater power for their level than the most perfect Pker

well 2 of them appeared (orc 106 and knight 126) while i was doing a clue they killed me i got the clue back but lost my chart and watch -.-

I dunno about hilts and whips, thats most likly a myth. Especially for the Hilts, since those are limited to only the GWD boss monsters. Whips might be a small posability but I dont think so as that would negate any need 85 slayer to get one. Chances are no slayer-related items would be incuded as drops. I imagine however alot of dragon items are, such as dds's, maces, longswords, and maybe even battleaxes. Hard to say for sure now, best thing to do is start logging your drops so tipit can make a database of the drops.

As for the poison in f2p, If enough people tell Jagex about this, Im sure they simply overlooked it, Jagex might actually allow antipoisons into f2p, which give a helpful boost to the current lacking herblore economy (Due to the remove of all the Pking pots) or they will simply remove the poison from f2p worlds.

My friend witnessed a revenant near an alter praying after getting hurt. What my friend and I are starting to work on and test is that perhaps revenants protect items, and that if you can smite their prayer off or keep the battle going until their prayer runs dry, perhaps they can drop valuebles. this could explain why some people get obby capes or other rumored valuebles, mainly from the high levels. because of the difficulty of the battles, they may last a long time. the revenant's prayer runs out and in the end you get something better than a few hundred coins.

Its a theory but its also the only lead we have since documenting revenants is still a work in progress.

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.

I wanted to switch my mage arena cape, and yknow what... I couldn't get near the damn lever even. Webcutting failed every single time, and a revenant knight was shoving 20s up my [wagon]. Its like they know beforehand where you're going, and will just ambush you there. Pkers were never that much of a nuisance or threat.

Be very afraid and frustrated? Yes.

Wish they got tweaked to more civilized levels? YES.
