Immediately after I teleported to the wildy via Ardy, I saw 2 reverants wolf creatures and I was so terrified. I ran as fast as possible to the mage arena door and thought I was safe. And they did.They actually know how to find players in the wild,how to bind them,hit them and eventually kill them.That sound way too intelligent for NPCs,but somehow Jagex managed to do that. But there is two problems.First,revenants are way too dangerous for the F2pers.They actually ice barrage them in the wildy.And as you all know ,an F2Per will not be able to defend himself against such a powerful spell. Second,they find you, but not you find them.Ok,they will stack up behind trees,but WHEN are you fortunate enough to find a tree in the middle of the wildy?And no matter how you run or hide,one or more revenants are sure to find you.That's just too terrible for all we players.

They freeze you, teleblock you, mage you. range you, melee you and poison you. They also have a long range for mage and range attacks. I saw twop level 100 players get hung drawn and quatered in the space of 1 minute by the same revenant ork :P They can deal some serious damage. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight.

All those guys making special "rune mining" acounts (lvl 3 so no/not much pkers can attack them) are useless. December 27, 200718 yr I love revenant hunting. Revenants seem to be virtually rewardless though: 1. Very hard to seek out. 2. Once you do find them, it can be a struggle to kill it 3. They can dissappear. After a long battle, diminishing your supplies to the last few food items and very low prayer, the revenant you fight simply dissappears. Dark beasts are a good example of the frustration. Ratest revenant by far, only one known respawn (by two small lava craters near the southeast corner of the mage arena), and the respawn life is usually about a minute then it dissappears. Very frustrating 4. the 126s can hit 30s with their RANGE (their weakest and least accurate attack!) after all these risks, what do you get for killing a revenant? usually, a bunch of coins. That doesnt nearly cover the cost of all the supplies you waste. I think better rewards are in order. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. December 27, 200718 yr lvl requirements are the same as if u were pking. if ur lvl 3 miner, and go up to the run rocks (approx lvl 48-49), u can get atked by a lvl 51-52 rev. assuming they even walk up around there, i dont doubt it. These revs were meant to replace pkers. So, tough if you want to fight em, but get pwned. Serious. JaGEx threatened to make the wildy dangerous again, only this time, no one reaps profits off of other players, except for JaGEx recycling those drops. I haven't gone out to the wildy since i lost in BH my once and only time. I haven't found 1 rev yet to fight when I was going up to BH (I got lost a bit). If i'm hearing correctly, you can get poisoned in f2p. you can get tb'ed in f2p. You can also get frozen in f2p. Wait, what??? TB doesn't exist anymore with players. The lvl 85 spell is now Bounty Locate. Dumb spell IMHO, since all the hunters come at the weakest target, 5 on 1, 6 on 1, 9 on 1. But, JaGEx gives TB to revs? What's up with that? Poisoned? Well, well, I see an f2p intro of Herblore in the works. I was talking about this in the thread "Summoning F2P?", where we might not get a taste of Summoning, but we will however get an old p2p skill bumped down to f2p status. I discussed which skills could potentially be dropped, herblore being one of them. Well, only a portion of herblore, enough so that f2pers can make atk, str, energy, restore, antipoison, and def pots. It's a taste of p2p in f2p, so that more f2pers become p2p. It also helps a stagnant p2p herblore market - demand for ingredients of the new skill will rise high, so prices will rise. Try selling a wfv for more than 110 gp, you'll see high demand for wfv's, herbs, and 2nd ingredients. Frozen... not much u can do about it. We have bind (5 second freeze). They have entangle, correct, or am I to assume they have ancient magicks' ice spells? If the latter is correct, f2p will probably see the opening of the Shantay Pass, and the Al-Kharid Desert that was once p2p will become f2p, and Desert Treasure will become... F2P!!! dum dum dummmmm.... I hope that doesn't come to that. But at least, if herblore becomes f2p, then Taverly will become open. ~WSW~

That is why :P If that's a true story, it might have been me...i'm level 101 and was heading over to wildy agility the other day when boom, orc pops up and kos me in 10secs flat... On topic: I was doing a clue yesterday and on my way back from GD's where i had to dig, i passed a level 105 who seemed to be hunting rev's. Before i could even ask, a knight appeared and starting (*pillaging*) me like it's life depended on it. Luckily, the level 105 valkery saved my sorry self and i was off to get a zammy page, rune legs, and black d'hide body!

December 27, 200718 yr I got hit for a 31 before teleing while runecrafting through the abyss. They may not be very intelligent, but they sure do pack a punch. Luckily, they don't stick around for long. thats very equvilent to a rc pker eh? Actually, I would still call rc pkers MUCH more dangerous than revs. Personally, while runecrafting, I've never found a rev that was smart enough to actually teleblock, then bind/ice, then do damage. Not to mention that the ratio of abyss pkers before the update to revs after the update is around 10:1.

December 27, 200718 yr I agree that they aren't really a threat. I'm also 126, though. But that being said...they really aren't that powerful if you're smart and know what to bring in the wilderness. I was able to kill 4 revanent knights with only prayer and a single dose of super set. I took minimal damage to the point where I didn't even have to eat. The wilderness is a joke now, in my opinion, but I'm not complaining.
